Benediction-Flexi 8" (bootleg,199..?)

This little red gem comes from the late '80's and its a forgotten flexi from the old school deathsters Benediction. Metal orientated crusties know these vets who along with Bolt Thrower kept the flag of UK's old school death metal high since late '80's. Back in the day and when i was deep into to grindcore and death metal shit, they were one of my favorite bands along with Carcass, Napalm Death, Prophecy of Doom, Terrorizer, Disharmonic Orchestra etc. And since there is a post from these monsters why not something from Benediction? so here we go: "death metal reigns!!!"
The flexi comes in the unusual size of eight inches (which is too large for the usual plastic sleeves made for 7 inch ep's) and brings two songs that last about eight minutes: Subconscious Terror is of course the title track of their first lp and Bonesaw which appeared only in The Dreams You Dread demo tape from1989, (if the song or riffs of it appeared in a song in official release is a question that can be replied by Benediction die hard followers) the recording is live and was probably recorded in the years '89-'91 when Barney was still in the band before join Napalm Death (i love his grunting "punk is dead, rock is dead, hardcore is dead,death metal reigns!") and before Dave Ingram's arrival on vokill duties. Quality wise, this is far from the level of Antisect bootleg and even the cover artwork is far from Benediction's image and lyrical topics. I don't know the year this came out (probably in early '90's) or how many copies were made, if you know any information please share it with us, all i know is this little piece of red flexible vinyl and poor photocopied paper used to reach some high and insane prices on eBay's insanity.
And just a few more lines of meaningless ranting: Some great news about Benediction came up back in 2008 when they announced the release of a split with Wolfbrigade on FETO Rec.s after a seven year hiatus. My enthusiasm turned slowly into disappointment because the record never saw the light of day and the project died in oblivion. Killing Music their latest release is an amazing piece of old school death metal with plenty of crust influences and covers of Amebix and Broken Bones, don't give a shit about the low rates of reviewers in Metal Archives, they just are not into crust.

Antisect-Out from the void 7" (bootleg)

First post of the year and here's a bootleg which stands equal to the original release: Antisect followed the wave of reunion of old crust bands and you may call it middle age crisis or awakening from their long time hiatus or return to the first love or whatever, the fact is that they are here: Amebix, Doom, and Deviated Instinct are some of the old masters who were back in action when i had this discussion with a friend many moons ago and sometime i said "how about Antisect and Axegrinder? they didn't come back yet". Well, some months later Antisect were back to join the club of reunited legends and Axegrinder are left for their come back if ever happens.
Out from the void is one of the milestone releases of crust punk genre and everything that could be said has already been said. I posted the original record some year ago in the first days of existence of this blog, here. The copy here is a bootleg which came out sometime in '00's, i don't know exactly the year (any help is appreciated) and quality wise looks like the original: It comes in a nice and well made cover in the standards of original release (it's not just a xeroxed photocopied piece of paper that many times bootlegs come with), the vinyl labels are exactly the same with the original and the surprise come from the vinyl which is clear white with some black shades. I don't know how many copies were made, if you know that or any other information about the record just drop some lines and enlighten us.

Narsaak-Vatra 7" (1997,Per Koro Records)

This is an amazing piece of vinyl from a now forgotten band which delivered some great records and somehow was ahead of its time: Narsaak formed in Darmstadt, Germany in early '90's and last summer they called a day after their final gig. "The members played in several bands after the split most of them in SKELETON ARMY & BASTARD KING just to name a few. Since late 2006 we are back on the map with almost the same line-up where we broke up 8 years ago". Their discography includes a handful of seven inch releases and weirdly not any lp, Their back catalogue is in their myspace and some of these are already posted here and there (split w Notwehr, split w Dead Beat, split w Stack, Hunde, lust and tod comp, etc, their swan song is the split with Planks which was released recently.
Vatra was released by Per Koro in 1997 and consists of three songs of dark, metallic emotional and crusty hardcore with rough vocals reminding the ferocious heavy crust of His Hero is Gone, though it's mistake to say "they sound like HHIG" since Narsaak existed before HHIG, The description in Per Koro's site about Prasina 7" which was released after a long hiatus says "NARSAAK played (and still playing) melody driven scandinavien hardcore long before WOLFPACK and long before TRAGEDY turned a million americanised trendhoppers onto that stuff." Criminally underrated band.. Dzini the singer sings in German language and lyrics are printed inside the gatefold cover. Unfortunately the record lasts for only 6:40" since two of the tracks are fast and end soon while the third is slower and a little longer.
This is an old rip of mine (and the title is mispelled "Valtra"), i did it sometime in 2009 in the same "ripping session" with Degarne's The Last Dance but never posted it since it was still available from Per Koro but not anymore. And since is an old rip here you got the all the scans. This is probably the last post for this year so have a happy new year and blah blah blah, see you the next year with more crust, cheers!

Uprising-As Long As There's A Profit To Be Made... 7" (2004,Incendiary Sound,Act of Attribution)

First off i feel the need to send my apologies to Nate from Uprising for taking almost an eternity to post this little gem since is an awesome record, it comes from an underrated and not well known band that never had the attention it deserved from the crusties, yeah it's sad and true and i have to live with it: Ii m a lazy bastard who's getting aged and forgets... :/
Uprising formed in Michigan in early ' 00's and in their short life they released the amazing split with Contravene on Catchphraze Records in 2003 and this ep, there is also a cd-r demo which came out in only 35 copies plus a few more songs (in heavier crusty pathways) recorded for a future release that never saw the light of day because of lack of funds and motivation.
As long.. was recorded in 2003 and came out in '04 (or it was 2006?), the complete title is "As long as there's a profit to be made there's no telling where the killing will end", music wise it delivers six tracks of crusty anarcho-punk/hardcore with political lyrics in a blending of Nausea and early Contravene, it was released by Incendiary Sound Records and Acts Of Attrition (any help about the labels is appreciated), 300 copies were made, 25 came with release show limited covers. Despite being a nice record (Contravene is the first band that comes to mind each time i listen this, Uprising were such good) it didn't sell much copies due bad distribution, for those who might want to get a copy, Nate still has many ,contact him via mail at uprisedetroit (at) gmail (dot) com and get one, it rarely pops up on ebay, distros or elsewhere).
No more blurb, the songs of ep are already uploaded on Soundcloud by Nate so you can give it a listening.

No title for this post since there is nothing on the cover revealing what is this but i m more than sure you already recognized the record: Anyway, from Doom's Live in Japan we continue with another rare shit: This is known as s/t tour ep or Phantom ep but the band informs with a text inside the gatefold cover that "the unofficial title of this is Live and Compressed". And yes, the band is Disfear and this is their self released tour ep for their US/Canada tour of May/June 2006, this was sold only in their gigs which makes it a little more rare than the Disfear releases of mid 00's plus the fact that there were pressed only 500 hand-numbered copies. The record came in gatefold cover with the lyrics of the three songs printed (Phantom, the first song which sometimes is taken as the title of record, was a new song previously unreleased and two years latter appeared as closing track of Live the Storm, Left to Die and Everyday Slaughter come from Soul Scars and Everyday Slaughter cd's-lp's ) and some information about the recording plus an insert with the date list of gigs for their tour and instructions to win on-line a Disfear pin. The songs were recorded at Tavastia Club in Hell-sinski, Finland and music wise and according to the band, the sound "is very live and unfortunately compressed" and that's what it is but still deliver the goods in chaos.
This was the short rant, . The last months i ripped some vinyls or scanned the covers (or took pictures) of old posts and the during the last weeks i re-up'ed em, so if you take a trip to back pages you will find a lot of these (Deviated Instinct, AGE, Warcollapse, Anarchus, Consume etc and some more will be updated soon, hopefully). Doom-Live in Japan (1992,Ecocentric Records)

This little piece of vinyl comes from the old days of Doom and brings some tracks live recorded at Antiknock, Tokyo, Japan in 1992. This was released by Ecocentric Records the same year and was the first Doom live record (the second was Pissed, Robbed and Twatted), there were two pressings, the first one came in black n blue cover and label while the second in black and white.A sheet with special thanks was included. Ecocentric site says about 1500-2000 copies were made and long long out of print. Music wise it delivers eight songs including the Black Sabbath cover they used to play and some of their all time classics (Lifelock, Exploitation, etc), the sound is bearable but without reaching the level of quality of Pissed, Robbed and Twatted but definitely much better than the live Multinationals.. bootleg. Not as famous as Police Bastard but a nice document of Doom on stage in early '90's and a rare collector's item and also the chance for some vultures to fill their pockets with money. And just to complete the 7IC Doom post linking, let me tell you that Ecocentric is also behind Doomed to Extinction split with Extinction of Mankind and the cd version of split w Selfish.(and yeah there are some more Doom post in back pages,shameless promotion,hahaha)
That's the short ranting. Yeah once again it took some time since the last post but finally here you have it again, until the next post whenever it come, don't stop listening to crust and keep spitting the face of neo-liberalism.

Anti Cimex-Victims of a Bombraid (1984,Malign Massacre Records)

It took some time from the last post and a lot of shit happened but finally here we are again: You know the record, you know the band so only a few words here: Some months ago i posted the Hardcore Horror Records re-issue of Victims of A Bomb Raid (here) and i promised an older pressing so here is one of the diamonds of Swedish punk scene in its first issue: This is the original and first press of Victims of... from 1984 co-released by Anti Cimex and Malign Massacre Records. This pressing came in folded sleeve with lyrics and photos inside and had these little bits around the record title text on front cover, "Anti Cimex" is in this pale gray/silver color and vinyl labels were black, the second pressing was almost the same, came in cardboard sleeve it had the name of band in white but these little bits around the record title, the lyrics and photos inside, all were gone. As i said in the first Victims... post, for some reason the record appears with the name Set me Free in a Maximum Rock N Roll add in spring of '84(check it here)

VA-Under the Cloudy Sky-Kanazawa City Hardcore (1994,MCR Company)

Under the Cloudy Sky-Kanazawa City Hardcore belongs to the endless seven inch compilation list of MCR Company and as the title says it consists of bands from Kanazawa City. MCR released a bunch of 7" compilations back in '90's, each one dedicated to one city: Tokyo, Sapporo City, Kyoto, Yokosuka City, Mie City, Shizuoka City and many many others. Kanazawa City Hardcore came out in 1994 in 700 copies and its long long time out of print, it consists of four bands, Iconoclast, Damnable Excite Zombies, Noise Gate and Override Negative. Iconoclast and D.E.Z. are well/widely known, i posted Who does the freedom and equality exist for? and Suck your soul 7" some years ago so check these posts for some bullshit ranting about them, if you know anything about Iconoclast's singer being also in Crow just drop some lines to reveal the mystery, i have met some conflicting opinions on the web. The other two bands didn't make it out of Japan or at least i never met them around yet, according to Discogs.com Noise Gate appeared in Revolutionary Cry 7" in 1995 which is another seven inch comp by MCR while Override Negative contributed some tracks to Ultimate Attack cd (1994, Ultimate Records).
The record came in four way fold-out cover, each band contributes one song: Iconoclast dominate here, their song appeared in their demo tape, Noise Gate stand equal to Iconoclast and deliver a fast and angry piece of Jap-core with catchy riffs and rough vocals, D.E.Z. are great too with their thrashing hardcore while Override Negative bring some US orientated hardcore.

Disfear/Uncurbed-Masslakt/The Strike Of Mankind split 7"(Lost and Found,1993)

Here's is a little gem including two of the most important bands of Swedish scene: Disfear and Uncurbed teamed up for this split which was released by the german label Lost And Found Records in 1993 in only 500 (?) copies and as expected is long out of print. There is no need to say anything about the bands, each of them delivers one song, Strike of mankind of Uncurbed was taken from the cd with the same title while Masslakt (mass slaughter) of Disfear was a new song. Both bands bring powerful, raw and aggressive Swedish hardcore, the record is too sort, it lasts only four minutes (wish there were more songs here) and it looks like a tour ep (the bands toured together in Germany but it was in 1995 not in '93..) or a bootleg (poor photocopied cover, blank labels), futhermore Discogs says "Most of Lost and Found releases are bootlegs" but then Uncurbed list the split as an official release in their discography, anyway if you know anything about that just drop some lines.
Recently Uncurbed called it a day after twenty years of activity, the split w Warvictims was their swan song. Members are already in other acts such as Demonical, Irritation, Interment, Kol & Stål, Entropi and Regurgitate. Disfear keep going on.
This was the short blurb, my scanner is still out of duty i don't know if it will ever recover from its problem but i used my digi cam for the covers. Old dead links are fixed, there is only a handful of them still dead, soon will be fixed (hopefully), no reposts for the moment, artwork was added to some posts and will do the same to some more.

Abstain-US '99 tour 7" (1999,Agitate 96)

I know its been a long time since the last post but i had and still have some problems with my turntable and scanner, the turntable is ok now but the scanner is still out of duty, i hope i will fix the problem soon.
A i said to Mike from Fifteen Counts... this post was supposed to bring you some Japanese crust but finally here 's something from the grindcore area: I posted some releases of these Pennsylvanian grinders in the past (Superiority Complex demo tape, split w Unholy Grave, split w Denak and split w Nasum) so there is no need for any blurb about them. This is their ep for the US tour of '99, released by Agitate 96 Records in 500 copies and as expected it delivers fast and brutal hardcore influenced old school grindcore with hyperfast blasting drums and thrashing riffs, vocals moved from the deep low growls of their early records to hoarse high pitched screams/yells, slightly reminding of Drop Dead or Siege. Unfortunately Abstain fall in the category of bands that would sound a little bit better if they added the missing instrument since the sound is a little dry despite the descent production and the chaos of fast drumming, by adding the bass the sound would be more deep and structured but then who am i to judge 'em?. By saying that i don't mean this is a bad record since everything is done fine, Abstain duet ruled back in their day,(Terrorizer is one of my favorite grindcore songs ever) and that's what they do here delivering the goods for nine minutes: Aggression and furry, rawness and speed, the wall of sound, the heaviness and socially awared lyrics are always there.
I said enough, go get it, EDIT: I used my digi cam to solve the scans problem so i added artwork photos, the scanner is still dead though...

The Craw / Deathgrenade-Primitive thrash split 7" (2010,Live Fast,Die Drunk/Nuclfear)

This split was kindly offered by the Shane of Live Fast Die Drunk Records (myshit, site, blog), a Perth, West Australia based label and consists of two local bands, The Craw and Deathgrenade. I know absolutely nothing about them and the only information is from Live Fast... blog posts: The Craw have released so far Figure 241. Single Abdominal Wound in 2008, the 2009 demo and a four way split cd with Projekbabi, KrassKepala and Deathgrenade. The discography of Deathgrenade includes the two aforementioned releases. The split was released by Live Fast Die Drunk and Nuclfear Records in 500 copies of different cover colors (blue, yellow etc), 400 on limited black vinyl, the rest on pink. Music wise both bands bring primitive and noisy hardcore with some d-beat and crust elements, three tracks of noisy and raw hardcore by The Craw (plus an extra song from the four way split cd as bonus by Shane) and seven fast chaotic and thrashing blasts by Deathgrenade, all good enough to cares your ears. Some copies are still available from Live Fast Die Drunk here(price is in AU$) and also from other labels (here, here, there and there and probalby elsewhere, don't be lazy and search it.

Wolfpack-st 7"(2004,Feral Ward Records)

Time to restart this crappy blog, its been a whole summer since the last post and my fingers started to itch and want to type some bullshit so here we are, actually this wasn't a summer break since Crust Demos was alive with only a month hiatus during the days of June, the days of protests and greek government's voting of new austerity measures against people and lower/middle classes, following EU and IMF's orders. The financial monstrosities have no end and keep going on and on
ok this little shit about whats going on here was enough, now about blogging: There is a bunch of 7"s waiting to be posted, a few old diamonds will be re-posted in new rips, i started thinking of stopping keeping it formal and start posting lp's or(and) tapes, don't know yet, time will tell, anyway,cheers to everyone!
Now about Bloodstained Dreams: You know the band and how their story goes so there is no need to blurb much shit about, this little treasure came out in 2004 when the name Wolfpack was history and Wolfbrigade entered into hiatus, so this year Feral Ward had the brilliant idea to release on seven inches two tracks, originally recorded back in 1995 and first appeared in Bloodstained Dreams cd (1996,Distortion Records). The record came out in the criminally limited number to only 500 copies and were almost instantly sold out and became collector's item bringing fever and smelly farts to eBay users each time it pops up. Music wise both tracks shred coming from the old glorious days and Johnsson's voice rules, the only bad thing here is the duration of record, unfortunately Feral Ward picked up the two shorted songs, it would be perfect a four song 7" including all tracks of cd (total running time 11:25") but this didn't happen, anyway all credits go to Feral Ward for this move to bring on vinyl these old tunes.

Rotting Christ/Sound Pollution-The Other Side of Life split 7" (bootleg)

This little gem brings you the globally known Rotting Christ and the widely unknown Sound Pollution in a split ep which was the first official release of R.C. and the only vinyl release of S.P.
Rotting Christ need no introduction, before they become known as metal lords they were a noisecore/grindcore band, they recorded a few demo tapes with Carcass-ic medical lyrics (Decline's Return, Leprosy of Death) before they start their journey into black metal realms with Satanas Tedeum demo from 1989. Internet is full of info and resources about them so there is no need to blurb any shit.
Sound Pollution was formed in 1988 as Ηχορύπανση (Ehorypansi, sound pollution in Greek), they recorded a couple of demo tapes: Practic Holocaust (1988) and Demo 1989, they had a split tape with Seven Minutes of Nausea (contributing the 2nd demo tracks) and appeared in Nobody Listens Anymore comp (1988, PPR Records). After some line up changes the band split into two new bands:the black metallers Varathron and the crusties Industrial Suicide (Βιομηχανική Αυτοκτονία,Viomihaniki Aftoktonia) which included people from Forgotten Prophecy and Negative Stance, I.S recorded two demo tapes (demo 1989 and demo 1990), they appeared in Delirum Tremens #17, Bonds of Friendship benefit comp. (1990,tape) and called it a day in 1991 or so, some members along with people from Panikos and Social Outcasts continued with Human Lethargy.
Both bands deliver similar psychoterroristic grindcore farting songs of a less than a minute lenght each, Rotting Christ deliver their Carcass-ic medical terminology with gory background while Sound Pollution grunts and growls are more into socio-political side of things, furthermore the bands shared some members (i think the "vocalist" is the same person in this recording, any help from old time Greek grinders is appreciated), sound quality is horrible, the record came in blue vinyl (this one here is a bootleg) consisting of nine Rotting Christ and ten Sound Pollution songs (or "songs") and a sheet with lyrics was included.
From a comment on Youtube written by Spyros (a.k.a. Captain Death), Sound Pollution-Varathron and Vomit drummer, we found that the influences of S.P were Doom, Napalm Death,Siege and Mob47. Carcass, Sarcofago and Agathocles were the inspiration of R.C and this split was supposed to be with S.P. and a Yugoslavian band but finally RC covered the other side of vinyl.
This split reaches incredibly high prices when pops up on ebay, just take a look at this picture ( or search it in Discogs.com) and to coin Roilo Golez of Brave New World blog, "The Greek government should take in consideration the potential of their early local noise band to solve their public debt crisis." Well i don't if this post speeds on the process to downfall or reduces the imaginary income this record could bring to Greek state as a parameter in a chaotic mathematical equation ( and i have no remorse at all,hahahaha!) but on the other hand this record and its chaotic wrath beyond music forms and the usual formulas describes the Greek Indignados, even the cover artwork is connected with them: Some gallows appeared today in front of Greek parliament, watch it here :)

Crucifix-Nighteen eighty four 7 (1992,War Crimes) bootleg

You all know Crucifix and you all know Nineteen Eighty Four 7", don't you? here you got their heritage to the seven inch vinyl world: This was originally released in 1982 by Freak Records and was the follow up to eponymous 12 inch ep from 1981 and was followed by Dehumanization lp from 1983. These three diamonds along with the split w Patareni and Exhibit A lp comp. are Crucifix legacy and we shouldn't forget the contribution of Annihilation in the legendary No So Quiet On The Western Front 2LP . Here you got an unofficial re-issue from 1992 on War Crime Records from Switzerland and came out in only 500 copies. According to a Bacteria trade list from 2009 which includes a (numbered) copy of this boot there were 800 copies made but since there is not any numbering on my copy this must be another bootleg.
War Crimes brought this in the same artwork, what is different is the vinyl labels and instead of peace symbol and Freak Records badge there is the picture of front cover printed on labels (and of curse the Freak Records badge on back cover is gone), inner sleeve artwork is exactly the same and brings you the lyrics. Prejudice, Steelcase Enclosure and Rise and Fall are the three tracks of ep recorded live "in the studio at Tom Mallon's And Rythmic Rivers S.F. 1982" and as Discogs says the original copy included a patch, back cover print says Steelcase Enclosure is B1 track but Rise and Fall is the first song on side B .

Senseless/Sirup za Izkašljevanje-split 7" (1999,Abnormal Beer Terrorism)

Its been a while since the last post and a lot of shit happened here:The general strike and protest of May 11th ended up in riot and clashes with cops, riot police acted brutally, a protestor were beaten to death by riot cops and he's still in coma in emergency chamber in hospital, another protestor had a surgery operation to save his life because of spleen rapture (prbly caused by glob hits), many other protesters were injured. On the other hand an outbreak of racial hatred and pogrom against immigrants took place after the murder of a 44 years old man, a few hours later a man from Banglasdesh was stabbed to death, many other immigrants were beaten by neo nazis, they even attacked against Villa Amalias Squat. An attack against Exarcheia Police Station injured a street market vendor. All these and many other shits happened and in a few words, Athens down town became a battle field in a collapsing state which is in free falling and decline and plagued by IMF. Check From the Greek Streets/Occupied London, Contra Info, Indybay etc for articles and information about the situation in Greece.

Now about this split: This gem was kindly offered by the cool guy of Crucified Freedom blog and since i don't know anything about the bands almost everything is blatantly stolen from his post: Senseless were from Croatia and Sirup za Izkašljevanje from Slovenia, the split came out in 1999 by a Slovenian label called Abnormal Beer Terrorism in co-operation with both bands. Senseless were from the city of Požega in eastern Croatia, (foolishly, for a moment i thought they were Nonsense another noisy act from Croatia), they had a split cd with Pro Masa and shitload of split tapes with bands such as Mastic Scum, Dickles Tracy, Sequimos Aqui, Panic Overdose and others, this split was their only vinyl release and band members were also involved in other great bands of Croatian scene. There is no much info about the Slovenian crusties S.Z.I. ,according to KKTZ of mighty Corpus Delicti who was member of Senseless, S.Z.I. had a demo tape.
the split came out in 530 copies, Senseless bring four tracks of heavy crustcore with some metal influences, sometimes brutal and sometimes emotional while S.Z.I. deliver five crust songs in similar vein but a little more fast-straightforward. Vocalists sing in English and Croatian, sound is raw and dissent, and the whole thing last over thirteen minutes.

Discharge-Realities of War (1980,Clay Records)

This is where the story begins and the legend is born: Realities of war was recorded in February 1980 at Redball Studios in 3 hours and and was meant to be the first page of Discharge's book of D-beat and nothing about punk would ever be the same: As all we know they started a few years before as a '77-punk band but they rejected this style after line up changes and finally they created a destructive combination which unleashed this glorious fart and started a music rebellion
It has no meaning to focus on music in terms of musicianship,complexity, sound quality and such shit: Four tracks that last just a few seconds over a minute each, each song has two riffs one for the chorus and one for the verse, each riff brings two or three chords, simple bass lines, a new strange way of drumming and after 4:50" the whole thing is done. Singing delivers one line for each verse and one line for the chorus and instead of the typical melodic singing there was a shouted/yelled kind of "singing" that repeated a polemic against war and capitalist society so someone can ask "where is the meaning in this simple as hell shit?" and the answer is "this is the meaning of this shit". The question was replied thousand times from the hordes of D-Beat bands that named Discharge as their influence in the next decades: Copying, distorting, repeating and altering, down tuning and adding speed in these guitar riffs and drum beat and reproducing the lyrical anti war and anti system verses and cover artwork aesthetic or even the dis-name and the spiked leather jacket.
Realities.. was released by Mike Stone's Clay Records (Clay 01) back in 1980, this first classic line up recorded a couple of diamonds: Decontrol, Fight Back and Why? the rest are history well known. Check Kill From The Heart and Wikipedia for more details

Anti Cimex-Victims of a Bombraid (1989,Hardcore Horror Records)

Its hard to sit down a write some blurb for a band when everything has been written before. Here come the best of the best, top class masters of Swedish scene with one of their seven inch treasures.
Victims of a Bombaraid was the third diamond of Anti Cimex and was originally released in 1984 by Maligne Massacre Records and Anti Cimex and there were three pressings: First pressing came in folded sleeve with lyrics and pics printed inside and had little bits around the title name text on the front cover, "Anti Cimex" was in silver lettering and was also printed on the inside. The second press came in cardboard sleeve it has the name in white and those little bits around the record title were gone, printed lyrics and pics sheet was gone too. Third pressing was on Hardcore Horror Records with printed vinyl labels but back cover says "Maligne Records" and had original Malign Massacre catalog/matrix numbers as earlier pressings. In an add of April/May 1984 issue of Maximum Rocknroll, this ep appears under the title Set Me Free instead of Victims... (check it here)
A short documentary about Sixten Andersson who played bass in "Victims... was on Swedish tv recently, (record sheet says Conrad was on bass though) not strictly related with Anti Cimex but if you love them its worth enough to watch some moments of daily life of an AC member back in 1985. Go here for more. Many details about Anti Cimex interviews, info about pressings of their records, photos, videos, fliers and other obscure info can be found in Anti Cimex Archive of Shit-Fi.com.
Here you got the Hardcore Horror Records pressing from 1989 which looks exactly the same with the second pressing minus the vinyl labels and plus the lyrics/photos sheet, (an earlier pressing will be posted in the near future). Discharge, Varukers, Crucifix and other legends released their records about the same days in early '80's but the bad distribution of records coming from Swedish scene made these Swedish punk records (especially Anti Cimex) to reach unbelievable and stop-breathing prices on Ebay and Victims.. is one of these. Go get it, Happy Easter to all of unbelievers out there and cheers!

Good news for all Doom worshipers: As we all know Doom are back in action and played several gigs during the last year, now they announce the release of a new 7", actually a tour ep "on coloured vinyl especially for the u.s tour. 3 brand new songs & 1 re-recorded one. The e.p sleeve artwork was done by the Scandinavian doorbreaker himself Magnus Jansson. It is limited to 1000 numbered copies."
This was taken from their fuckbook page (btw they abandoned their myshit page),thank gods of crust this comes in 1000 copies and not only 300 or 500 so in case it appears on eBay the price will be low (i hope so but i do not bet my ass because of some people's greed and their lousy will to make money out of punk this way, time will show). No pre-orders, this will be available in their gigs, 1000 copies is a "big" number for a tour 7" but the name Doom is enough to sell the last copy soon.
Hail to Sweden was released in 1994 by the German label Pandora's Box and as the title says its a Doom tribute on some of their influences and favorite bands of Swedish scene: Discard, Mob47, Crudity, Agoni, Röjers, and Anti Cimex songs are covered the way Doom play their crustcore, all songs are great, i prefer side a and the devastating cover of Warmachine of Anti Cimex on side b. Hail... comes second after Police Bastard to some Doom fans but to me it stands equal cos both records rule

Misery-Born, Fed... Slaughtered 7"(1990,Discarded/Under Siege)

Born, Fed, Slaughtered is the first Miser y official release and one of the crust classics of late '80's, it came out in 1989 on their own label AYF (Anarchist Youth Federation Records) with the helping hand of Felix Havoc. 600 copies were made, the record delivered only two tracks of heavy mid-paced stenchcore/crust (Born,... and Falling of Darkness) and not four as was planned because of some pressing problems, so an insert with lyrics of these four tracks was included and another sheet with lyrics of the two tracks, the two outtakes appeared in their next release Blindead 7" (it will be posted soon, hopefully).
One year later (1990), Under Siege Rec.s and Discarded Rec.s re-released Born... as a three track 7" by adding A Total Destruction on side A, the record came in fold around cover with a slightly different artwork (similar front/different back cover, not any sheet inside) and all songs were remixed. A Total Destruction is a one minute fast yet heavy stenchcore song and fills side A, not a filler though, the cover includes lyrics .
The first pressing of Born.. was posted here, Discarded Rec.s is the label behind the second press on Doom's Police Bastard, the pressing with the alternative sleeve, ,AYF stands behind the first and second pressing of Police Bastard, btw Doom announced the recording of a new ep,thats fuckin great news)

Prophecy of Doom-Until the again 7" (After World Records,1990)

Until the Again is a live 7" recorded and released back in 1990 by After World Records. There is no much to say about Prophecy of Doom since Calculate Mind Rape was posted twice and a lot of bullshit was typed. The truth is they were overlooked and never gained the attention of people the way and the level Napalm Death or Carcass did. Anyway, Until the Again came in gatefold cover and delivers three tracks: Earth Reality Victim, Acknowledge The Confusion Master and Insanity Reigns Supreme(which is the first PoD song i ever listened back in late 80's in a tape trade), the sound quality is as good as can be for a live recording of a grinding metal punk band and the paranoia lasts for almost twelve minutes. Some samples are used in the beginning of songs and fit with the sociopolitical/philosophical lyrics, i love the way Shrew's over-distorted vocals destroy the last hints of music each time he opens his mouth, he sounds like a fart of a mutant monster coming from hell.
If anyone knows anything or has in digital format Domination Factor 's Dominated till death demo tape (a pre-Prophecy of Doom band) just drop a few lines here, After World Records was a small label with a few releases of some goregrind/deathgrind acts under their belt (Bathomet's Boiled in Blood 7", Exhumed's Excreting innards, Putrifact's Visceral Devourment and others).
This is not my ripping, thanks to Pete for one more contribution, he sent some wav's that i ripped to mp'3 and i had to find covers on the web, well i did what i can (yeah too bored and busy to rip a vinyl myself.)

Yeah its B-day today! The story begun as a joke in March 22 of 2007 and the Hello Crusties!!! first post with the pompous writing (what a bullshit! i have to delete it) and soon became one way path with no return with this inner worry "lets update it again" leading you into it deeper and deeper. Many many hours have been spent on blogging, typing, re-typing, uploading, drinking and puking and bullshiting. Now we enter in fifth year...shit, four years older....mmmm i need a beer right now to get over it (and i say "we" cause we shouldn't forget Whispy, i wish he was here). And as the years go passing by things getting worse: Financial crisis, revolt in many countries of North Africa and Middle East, earthquake, tsunami and nuclear thread in Japan, war in Libya, what a peaceful world...whats next to come?
And after this little wankery is time for Disorder: It is shameful, four years and not any Disorder record posted yet, just like Discharge until last January. Anyway, Distortion to Deafness comes from 1981 selfreleased by the band (Disorder Records) and its the second piece of feces that came out of Disorder anus and made John Peel describe it as a shit (check wiki). There is no need to blurb anything since everyone knows them (yeah, a lousy excuse to get rid off typing much shit), spend some time and take a look at Kill from The Heart and Wikipedia for more ranting. VA-Polka Slam/Crisis Point 7'' (Sisters of Percy Records,1988)

This is an old and forgotten four way split 7" coming from late '80's and was given for free with the fanzine with the same name. The bands included here are H.D.Q ., Instingators, Culture Shock and Bolt Thrower (yes, the Bolt Thrower we all know appears among punk bands).
Sisters of Percy Records (Percy not Mercy) is the label behind this little gem, this was released in 1988 and came in fold out paper sleeve in 2000 copies, all tracks were exclusive recordings and the variety of bands (from death metal to punk rock and from hardcore to reggae) is strange and unusual to the standards of a compilation record (remember Pathological comp with bands coming from different genres, though not much brutality here except Bolt Thrower).
So there are four bands here and a bonus track, a ranting by Geoff Simmons. Culture Shock were a reggae band and incl.people from Subhumans (thanks to Mr filosofos for the info), Instingators started in 1980 in Dewsbury, England with Paul "Hammy" Halmshaw (who later started Peaceville Records) being one of founding members and they had a shitload of recordings, check wikipedia for many details, loads of their releases are posted in blogs. H.D.Q. were from Sunderland, they were active about the same time (85-90), they run this site , also there is a band's history in Kill From The Heart. Bolt Thrower were the Bolt Thrower we know. Apart from this ep, Sisters of Percy are behind Surf Weasel's A Mind of Your own 7" (1991) and the recent release of Liberty...We Want The Real Thing lp comp. (incl. Citizen Fish, Surf Weasels etc)
This was Polka Slam/ Crisis Point, this is not my rip and i can't remember where or when i got it, actually the crisis point is in Japan right now with destruction, dead and missing people and the nightmare lurking inside reactors at nuclear plants.

Destroy/Disturb-The Crush Bastard System split 7" (MCR Company,1995)

Here is another split including the Minneapolis grindcrust masters Destroy: The Crush Bastard System split 7" was released in 1995 by MCR Company and distributed by Sound Pollution. This is the swan song of Destroy which appear here with a new Discharge-ic logo and a totally "Raw D-beat" cover artwork.
There is no need to say a word about Destroy, everything about them is on the web and a lot of blurb has been said in previous Destroy posts (split w Disrupt, Burn this racist system down), here they contribute four tracks (incl. a C.O.C. cover) recorded in Tokyo in 1994, tracks are close to their songs from split w Disrupt. Disturb were a crust/hardcore band from Himeji city, Japan and all i know about them is the For the Live 7" released by Discrete Records, if you know anything about them just spend a few minutes and write some words. They deliver three songs of heavy Japanese crusty hardcore with the usual rough vocals of Japanese punk bands. Both bands deliver the goods, the record comes in fold out cover and the usual black vinyl and its lengthy enough (lasts over fourteen minutes), lyrics included only for Destroy songs. On Destroy side cover there is the title "Chaos Noise Torment" but the title of split is rather The Crush Bastard System (please somebody correct me if i'm wrong)

Jobbykrust/Blurred Vision-split 7" (Grinding Madness,Castafiore Vox,1994)

This is a forgotten and hard to find gem and brigs two obscure acts of Irish scene: Jobbykrust and Blurred Vision share this shit titled A Small Piece Of War/Songs About Shit Things split 7'' which was released in 1994 by Grinding Madness and Castafiore Vox.
First off i need to say that this rip is not mine, i found it on the web and since its about a rare shit and blah blah and blah again here it is for you, many thanks to the guy who ripped and uploaded it.
I don't know anyshit about Blurred Vision (split's inside cover says that they called it day in 1993) but here are some things about Jobbykrust: There is a connection with Dagda, they recorded two demo tapes back in 1992 (Naivity or Hope and We Starve the Starving) and some of these tracks appeared in the split lp w Wisigoth from Canada in 2000(released by Funai Records), apart from the split w Blurred Vision they had split releases with Viktors Hofnarren from France (1996) and Blofeld from Germany (1997) and 'The descent of man" lp (1997, Funai). You can download their entire discography from Peace Not Profit, (but lyrics, playlist and band's history pdf links seem to have a problem)
Blurred Vision bring two tracks (plus one intro) of screamed emotional slow/mid-paced hardcore while Jobbykrust contribute four songs with "the unrelenting mucous flow of Pink Turds in Space, the common sense politics of Disaffect and Sedition, the fugitive taxonomy of Scatha, the tasteful, delicate flourishes of The Dagda". Marc of Fugitive Equilibrium wrote this and describes perfectly the whole shit, btw Marc posted the Jobbykrust/Viktors Hofnarren split lp some time ago. And as for the labels, Grinding Madness stands behind some grindcore releases (Agathocles, Cripple Bastards etc (check here), Dis is Getting Pathetic of Active Minds and was among the labels involved in The Lunatics have taken over the asylum flexi 7".

Warhead-The lost self and beating heart (1996,Blood Sucker Rec.s)

No much blurb for this diamond: Warhead was another diamond from the Land of Rising Sun, they formed in Kyoto and self-released Cry of Truth 7" in 1991 (re-released in 1992 by Amok Rec.s and in 2001 by Devour Rec.s), Kono Omoi Wo Dokow E cd/12" came out in 1993 on Blood Sucker and was followed by Lost self and beating heart and Drive it in your head 7" (1999, Fast Nail), in 2001 they appeared in One Shot One Kill lp comp (Overthrow) with Extinct Government, Zone and D.S.B., then they called it a day and came back in action in 2004 releasing a split 7" w Order on HG:Fact.
The first time i listened to a Warhead record was many years ago, the record was Kono Omoi Wo Dokow E and still remember me shatting my pants and keep listening again and again, amazed by the unexpected brutality: Nine songs and less than twenty minutes of raging hardcore, hands down this is great record!
The Lost self... was released in 1996 by Blood Sucker in blue and black vinyl versions and continues Kono Omo..'s journey into brutality: The band now had new pass player and delivers six tracks and nearly twelve minutes of manic rage with insane vocals, thrashing guitars spitting noise and fast smashing drums leading each song beyond the speed limit. A masterpiece of noise.
Ugly Pop Records included The Lost self.. in the vinyl version of Kono Omoi Wo Dokow E to make a full-length and Blood Sucker released the cd version of it. Blood Sucker stands behind some other jewels of Japanese scene such as Death Side, Bastard, Gudon, Forward, Disclose, Liberate, Nightmare, Crude, D.S.B. and many others

Bastard-Controlled in the frame 7" (bootleg)

As the stats counter hits over half a million crusties, punks, hc kids or any curious or non-punk guy who entered here, i feel the need to celebrate by posting a record that has a special meaning for me. Controlled in the Frame is related to a very special person for me and since St Valentine is on the way and St' s Valentine's Day Massacre is already posted elsewhere, this piece of vinyl is perfect for me and also a good reason to bring to first page an old post, but also this post goes to Mike of Fifteen Counts.. blog as a shout out to continue blogging and stop self-inflicted inner heart-eating criticism.kouraggio ree!ante gamoto!
To be honest this post was inspired also by this ep's appearance in an auction on eBay some weeks ago and as expected it caused a little fever to some pretencious assholes (it ended in 90 or 100$ and to coin Herman of Bombanfall "Punk and e-bay….NOT a combination!". But then i have to coin Whispy:"Punk is business on eBay". Sad and true. Anyway, this is the bootleg vinyl of Controlled in the Frame, the original release was posted in summer of '07 here. Bastard stand in the pantheon of Japanese punk scene and despite the poor discography (one lp,one ep and contribution in Triple Cross Counter and Go ahead make my day–Smashing Odds Ness 2, lp comp's) their records where masterpieces and put them among the other legends of Japanese scene.
The guy from the now defunct Austrinken site, a site run by a guy from Germany(?) presenting information about records (number of copies pressed, vinyl colors,different covers, pressings and such shit and many of these records where from Japan) had written back in the day that there were two different sleeves, the standard/original with hard paper inner sleeve and the limited to 300 copies with poor xerox/photocopied sleeve (a tour edition?). Punk Rock Pictures Sleeves says about blue vinyl of second press (the flimsy cover one), not quite sure though. The bootleg's cover came in a (poor) photocopy too, labels are blank as expected and if i am correct this was bootlegged in 2001 or so, if you know anything about it just drop a few lines.

Bombanfall-Asiktsfrihet 7" (1987,selfreleased)

"To set the record right; we had 3 gigs. In Stockholm with Asta Kask and once at Ultra Huset-the legendary house of punk and also in Gothenburg at the anarchist festival with bands like Disarm and other heros. Our name was Two Moons Rising( taken from the native American chief who fought the oppressors and general Custer in Little Big Horn.)."
This was written by Herman guitarist of Bombanfall in 7inchpunk. Asiktsfrihet (Freedom of opinion) is their only recorded material, it came out in 1987 and its a milestone of powerful and brutal crustcore that stands equal to other diamonds of Swedish scene of 80's such as Anti Cinex, Disarm, Shitlickers and others: Is this a blasphemy? no noway! this record rules! Brutal vocals, aggressive guitars and blasting drums, though not much D-beat drumming here. The whole thing is very close to the old n good Extreme Noise Terror era.
The record was selfreleased and 500 copies or so were made, the band changed their name to Two Moon Rising after the record was released so some copies had a sticker on back side informing "Text oh musik Two Moon Rising". These copies included a red sheet with lyrics and this info:"Inspelad och mixad pa Bee Three Bee Records"=recorded and mixed byBee Three Bee Records.
Disfear covered Halsning fran helvetet in Powerload 7", the entire Asiktsfrhet ep appears in Hardcore elitserien vol. 1-It Is Yourself Who Makes It Possible bootleg lp and All Hope Lost..Swedish hardcore 1982-1993 bootleg tape, Kill From The Heart says they were included in Delirium Tremens vol 14, Mr Toxik from Crucified For Your Sins posted this tape but there is no sign of them.Edit:in fact Bombanfall appear in Delirium Tremens #4 , thanks -Chris-!!!
This was the only release of Bombanfall. Erich (Fear of God, Good Bad Music) wrote about an offer for a future ep release on his own label Off Disc Records but TMR asked for a shitload of money upfront so things didn't work out.
This was posted back in summer of 2007 and here it is again in fresh new rip and scans (no sticker and lyrics sheet though). Nowadays this is a shit of rarity but if you really want a piece of it, Herman still got some copies:"I´ve got some unplayed 7″ left from that time for those wanting to blow up e-bay paranoia ripoff prices like 105 us dollars for a used 7″ with us…what a bunch of bullshit! Discard-Death from above (1990,Jesus Kudd Rec.s)

This is a kind of follow up to the previous post: Discharge started the D-Beat flood and Discard started the Dis-mania in Swedish punk scene. The following text is taken from "Stockholms Mangel" re-issue 2XLP and blatantly copied/pasted from Distort Truth, Distort Minds blog (Daniel, thanks in advance):
“DISCARD was never a real band in it’s original form. They never rehearsed, recorded only twice and played only one gig. At the first recording session Per,(who also played in AGONI, PROTES BENGT & THE FILTHY CHRISTIANS), laid all solos without really being able to play the guitar and only one track from that session made it to the band’s ep ‘death from above’. The band later reformed with only Per left from the original line-up, and with the DISCHARGE references toned down. DISCARD took the DISCHARGE cloning even further then they did with MOB 47, even piecing together their band logo. This was way before the whole invasion of dis-bands and an early attest to Sweden’s dis-mania. DISCARD's songs had the same structure as DISCHARGE's and dealt with the same lyrical subjects, but some of their songs were way too fast to be confused with the English icons."
Death from Above came out in 1990 bringing six pages from the early days chapter of Discharge's book of D-Beat (and yeah! there are some guitar solos popping up here and there). There were three pressings, "First press by Jesus Kudd (960 black and 40 green), second press by Finn Rec (probably 1000 copies)", third was the bootleg version of Rödel Records
The Rödel version was posted in summer of '07, here is the Jesus Kudd press in fresh new rip, actually i don't know if this is a Jesus Kudd or Finn Records press since " first and second press look in exactly the same way (same cover sleeve, no Finn Rec logo etc)".

Discharge-Never again 7"(Clay Records,1981)

The story begins back in 1978 when Buzzcocks released Another Music In A Different Kitchen lp on United Artists Rec.s and D-Beat drumming first appeared in a punk song: You Tear Me Up was the third song on side A, an excellent piece of hardcore and the first D-beat punk song ever. One year later Rude Kids from Stockholm, Sweden released Safe Society lp, the last song, Marquee, was the first D-beat song recorded by Swedish punk band but also the first D-beat punk song released by a "big" label: Safe Society was released by Polygam(despite the 5000-6000 sold copies, shame on!).
Apparently, Discharge did not discover the wheel in 1980 since Buzzcocks, Rude Kids, Varukers and even Motorhead played it before ("when told Discharge sounded like Motorhead, Rainy replied, "they sound like us",hahaha!) but Discharge became synonymous with D-Beat by developing it when they added aggressive riffs in simple composition, anti system and anti war grunting shouts and outlaw/sleazy attitude, all in a perfect mixing and the legend was born: A new sub-genre came out and myriads of bands started forming, reproducing and developing more or less more these lyrical topics, the hardcore riffs or even the name and band's logo and letter fond again and again.
Never again comes from the era of golden early years, it was released at the end of 1981 by Clay Records, it reached #3 in indie chart and #64 in UK national chart. Tez and Bambi had already left the band and Gary Maloney (ex-Varukers) had drumming duties. The amazing cover artwork has become classic. .Never Again, Death Dealers and the devastating Two Monstrous Nuclear Stockpiles are the three D-beat diamonds it delivers. A classic.

This was posted in the second day of lifetime of this blog in March '07 and since is a classic for the genre here it is again in fresh new rip and scans
There is no much to say about those who first coined the Crust term, what's sad about them is the fact that they belong in this category of bands with glorious/great beginning and continued with not so good/less good/mediocre records in their later releases
They brought death was released in 1989 by the German label Temple of Love Records in 1000 copies of clear gold and blue vinyl. The package includes a sheet with some lyrics and special thanks and a second sheet with flyer drowing and infos about Temple of Love releases (Temple of Love was a Neuendeich (north Germany) based label and back in 1988 released the Fear of God 7").
Hellbastard's later records delivered predictable Bay Area thrash metal but their early stuff (Hate Militia & Ripper Crust demos & Heading for Internal Darkness lp from 1988) makes them one of the 80's UK crust legends, They brought death comes from this period:
Schwarzwasser is the emotional intro that leads to the mid tempo thrash attacks of Deadlock and eponymous track, imagine Venom meeting Amebix or to coin Maximum Rock n Roll "Crass meets Metallica", both tracks are too long (the whole ep lasts over fourteen minutes) and despite the metal riffs and the "too much metal" guitar sound, the record stands with one foot in the crust/punk territory and delivers the goods. This will be the last post for this year: Its been sometime since the last post but its not a matter of boredom or lack of free time, just got this gloomy feeling, this crisis has its effect on my everyday life and my inner self and i just don't enjoy blogging. Not any other words on it cos it will lead me to delete what i typing.
So lets demystify one of the well kept secrets of Doom legacy: Multinationals Raping Mother Earth is a bootleg ep, if am correct it was bootlegged in Finland and came out in 1991, it delivers seven tracks live recorded in November 13th, 1989 in Derby, UK and only 500 copies were made. Labels are light blue and blank, cover is photocopied, tracks that included here are some of Doom classics: Police bastard, Fear of the future, Slave to Convention, A dream to come true. Seven songs that last over ten minutes and deliver a rare Doom document from late '80's, sound quality is very good and delivers the goods.
This is a must have for die hard Doom record collectors and the limited number of copies makes it hard to get, it rarely appears on eBay (i noticed only one copy on eBay during the last six months and was sold for 20-25$ or so, not that bad price wise, isn't it? no i didn't buy that one) and since you all love Doom this is your Xmass present, enjoy it!

This is how the story goes: Victims of War was a shortlived and unknown band from Ipswich, England, they formed in 1981 and recorded an eight track demo tape, sometime they changed their name to Freestate and recorded another demo, this was their only recorded material ever. A few years later a band called Raw Noise formed in Ipswich too and recorded A Holocaust in your Home tape in 1984. The next year they released a split lp with Chaos UK on Manic Ears(re-released in 1990 by Vinyl Japan), this year they split and Dean and Olley a.k.a Pigkiller formed Extreme Noise Terror along with Phil Vane & Pete Hurley from Victims of War/Freestate. The rest are history well known...
Are you that Desperate comes from the old good and glorious days of Extreme Noise Terror and 3/4 of the band is still here (plus Stick who beats the drums), its a live recording from 1989, it was released by Crust Records and delivers some of the ENT classics and their raw furry and manic brutality: Deceived, Another Nail In The Coffin, Subliminal Music, Murder, Raping the Earth... 12':30" of noisy Crustcore. The record comes in gatefold cover including lyrics and the statement "Meat:Food for thought", (band members used to be veggies back in the day, nowadays only Phil Vane is still vegetarian) and once again b side label print is the same to other Crust Records releases (check Apocalypse's Earth or Disrupt's st 7").

G-ANX/Filthy Christians-split 7" (Gore Core Records.1988)

Another old diamond and this time we got a split ep with two legendary bands from Sweden: Fri Som En Fågel… was released in 1988 by Gore Core Records, it came in colored vinyl (there were red,blue and yellow copies) and included two of Sweden's finest acts of late '80's and for both this was the first official release:G-ANX need no introduction, their ep's are already posted here and here, check these posts if you already haven't for more, just to add here an interview with Patrick(vocals) of No Te Calles Fanzine.
Filthy Christians formed in 1985 and included Per Thunell, vocalist of Protes Beng in their ranks, they played in many gigs in Sweden, in the next years they recorded three demos, in 1988 they released the split with G-ANX, in 1990 the Mean lp (and they became the first Swedish band on Earache Records) in 1992 the Nailed cd was recorded at Sunlight Studios and produced by Tomas Skogsberg, they also appeared in the infamous Grindcrusher compilation along with some monsters of extreme metal such as Carcass, Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Terrorizer, Napalm Death etc. When F.C called it quits, members went on Bruce Banner and BombKlan
Here we got one of the blue vinyl copies, the record comes in gatefold cover and includes special thanks and some funny artwork, a sheet with lyrics was included too. Filthy Christians tracks come from their second demo tape: imagine the crust brutality of Bombanfall enriched with some grindcore hints that po p up here and there. There are brutal vocals, rough guitars, beat changes with slower parts followed by fast outbreaks, there is a grindcore feeling but this is not the grindcore as we know it, six tracks are delivered and some of them last less than a minute. On the other side, G-ANX deliver five tracks of their powerful and aggressive hardcore, very fast, fierce, angry and raw and without the acoustic parts that appeared for first time in Far Out.
And the rant will finish with something written in Blood Sisters:"Carl of I Love a Parade, whose old band His Hero is Gone once toured with someone who played in G-ANX, reports that the name (being Swedish) is pronounced more like "yonks" than like "gee-anks" or "ganks." Also it apparently means "pregnant duck," but I'm a little dubiouser on that one". But then Tony said that "We always said "GEEe-Annks" in Swedish". And why G-Anx are included in Blood Sisters? Because of a girl who used to handle bass duties..

Hiatus/Reach A Mental Road-split 7" (MCR Company,1991)

Severe Existence/Soulforce split was released in 1991 by Kyoto based MCR Company (MCR-048) and its a long long out of print, for Hiatus this was one of their first releases along with I don't scare easily but.. and Way of doom ep's, there is no need to say anything about them since almost everything they released on seven inches is posted minus the split w Fleas and Lice (hopefully it will be posted soon)
Reach A Mental Road was an obscure act from Sendai, Japan, they started as Rich Mate Rally (perhaps this means Rich Materially or something like that...) they appeared in Give us The Time to Play 2x7" (1990, Lifestyle Sound) and they had a split with Dr & The Crippens (from Sendai too) on MCR Co.. (Speaking of Sendai scene, take a look at Hardcore Showcase lp with several unknown japcore bands)
The split comes in gate-fold cover and includes lyrics in English and some translation in Japanese, music wise Hiatus deliver their usual Doom/early Extreme Noise Terror crustcore in four songs, the side opens with an atmospheric intro, Narrow Minded.. and Positive Smoking Attitude are fast but in Inside Death they slow down the speed, Hey Bob is a three seconds joke song and its what the title says:-"Hey Bob! WHAT?(growl)", P.S.A. is the appropriate song for the new anti-smoking law (no smoking in pubs,bars,restaurants, etc, free smoking on the street, wow! this is the solution to the financial crisis!). On the other side, Reach A Mental Road contribute two tracks of raw, aggressive and fast hardcore, He's singing style(He is the name,ok?) is another proof that this is a Japanese band, lyrics seem to be a little mistranslated or whatever and remind of Iconoclast's lyrical shit.
This time ranting will be a little shorter than the usual. I have a bunch of rips (though no scans yet) of old posts and someday there will be a massive re-post of old posts that are in low quality and no scans but it will take some time

G-ANX-Far out 7" (Finn Rec.s, 1989)

"Started as Gravida Anker (Pregnant Ducks) in Huskvarna, Sweden 1982. Gravida Anker were playing some old school midtempo punkrock, but the following years they were infiltrated by the young noisecore extremists from Penisknyckarna (Steve, Putte & Hoccy) and the name was cut down to G-ANX in '84. A few years later the last original member Sonnerby was replaced by Hedda. With this final setting we rehearsed approx. 20 times until the split-up in '91 (it's better to split up than to be infiltrated and replaced). We also performed about 20 gigs and recorded 4 vinyl-ep:s - that's all folks. The last ep was supposed to be an album, but some tapes were erased by mistake(?) and we didn't have the energy to complete it". (taken from Swedishpunk)
Far out was the first of the three ep's that complete the G-ANX discography and was released in 1989 by Finn Records and right after the split with Filthy Christians, their other ep's are already posted here and here check these for further details about the band,(soon there will be a repost of split w Filthy Christians) and their demo tapes
The first thing worth to mention about Far Out is the strange artwork for a punk record, it reminds me of the little price of Antoine Exipery fairytale, next worth to say is about the music: Powerful hardcore with aggression and wrath, shouted vocals and catchy riffs and raw sound , tracks are fast with slower breaks and the usual acoustic parts for G-ANX songs appear here and there, in Ninteenninteyeight they create the link that connects Far Out and the form of songs of their next records by the emotional acoustic intro and slowing down the speed, Stenad is a raw noise attack of 49 seconds, Appelskruttar is fast a hell with slower parts and Skitsnack moves from mid paced to moderately fast pace. The record comes in gatefold cover and includes lyrics.
This is it, go get and tell what you think, These tracks appeared in Flashback discog. cd(Sound Pollution / Elderberry Records), G-ANX contributed in several compilations such as Really fast vol 4, (1988,Really Fast Rec.s), Bblleeaauurrgghh 7"(1991,Slap a Ham), Civilisationens Bakgård 7''(1991,Elderberry) and as you already know members continued with mighty Counterblast (a new 10" is just unleashed) and in a less known act named Farcical, & don't forget that some of these people also ran Elderberry Records

Every time i see this record i remember a well known label mentioning in their site in the trade section: "No trades with bands that have artwork with corpses or pile of skulls" or something like that. Well, this ep has a pile of skulls but is also great so it should not included in this rule in case of trade lol lol lol.
Selfish started in 1989 in Turku, Finland and included people involved with Forca Macabra and Uutuus, they became widely known with the release of split w Doom on Ecocentric Records in 1994. System kills is their first record released back in 1993 by Genet Records. There are four tracks here of powerful and noisy crustcore, two of these appeared also in Pro-Life control/Tear silence into pieces split lp. Vinyl comes in a simple gatefold cover and there is nothing mentioning the title of ep (thus this is a st ep, System kills is the title of first track). Vocals are acid screams and remind of Japanese noise acts, drums bring basic beat lines in fast pace, guitar reflect the blending of UK and Japanese hardcore, sound is raw and noisy and lyrics included on back cover.
Selfish moved from crustcore of their first ep to a more traditional Japanese hardcore and became a kind of "Japanese band from Europe" the same way Burial is today, their discography includes a bunch of ep's: A split 7" w Disclose (DIY Records, 1995), a Japanese Tour 7" (1997, Otto Itkonen Productions,a label run by Selfish/Forca Macabra members), The Joy of the Industrial Society 7" (Genet, 1998) a split w Liberate (HG Fact,1999), a couple of lp's/cd's: Burning Sensation lp/cd (Ferald Ward/HG Fact,2001), Cause Pain (Ferald Ward/Combat Rock,2005) and some compilations:Flashback cd (Pain Killer Rec.s, 2001), Cry for Love, Cry for Death cd (Deadalive,2002). Disrupt/Destroy-split 7" (Adversity Rec.s, Break The Chains Rec.s,1991)

When the discussion is about grinding crust then the first bands that come to mind are Disrupt and Destroy!, i have the mood of noisy shit lately and since the guy from MNPunk blog keeps trolling 7inchcrust for Minneapolis based crusties here is some more noise for him (and all of you)
Disrupt come from Lynn, Massachusetts and Destroy! was born in Minneapolis, both were active about the same years (both bands started around 1987-88 and called it a day in mid '90's) and their music shit was similar: Brutal, fast, noisy and grinding crust with growling/yelled vocals so both bands fit nicely in a split like this. There is a lot stuff about both bands on the web, for more infos and details check Disrupt's myspace or run down the back pages of this blog and Destroys' site and myspace fan pages (here and here).
There is another Disrupt/Destroy split, the cd on Relapse (1994) including the tracks from Refuse planet and Total fucking chaos ep's. The 7 inch classic was released in 1991 by Adversity Records and Break The Chains (Adversity Rec.s stands behind Deformed Conscience's Constant strife 7") and in the beginning a band named Namland was supposed to included but for various reasons was left out. Disrupt tracks were recorded in February 1991 at Headroom Studios in Boston (the songs from Refuse Planet were recorded in this session too) and also appear on the side A of Rid the cancer bootleg (along with tracks from split w Resist) while Destroy songs were recorded in summer of '90 at Underground Studio in Minneapolis.
Destroy are fast and ferocious without reaching the levels of Burn this racist system down (their best recorded material ever) but good enough, Disrupt move in their usual pathways and deliver the goods as usual. The record comes in two gatefold pieces including lyrics and some information about the labels and Adersity zine, front cover artwork is a picture of riots in South Africa, vinyl is black but there were copies in gold vinyl and red cover.
Both bands tracks appeared in discography compilations: Discography cd of 2004 on Dead and Alive and in The Rest of Disruptdead boxset of Relapse (2007) for Disrupt and Necropolis cd(Sound Pollution, 1995) and Discography cd on Havoc Rec.s. for Destroy

S.D.S.-Scum system kill 7" (Mangrove, 1996)

S.D.S. were the answer from Japan to UK's masters of crust of '80's and Scum system kill is another diamond of Japanese punk crust scene. They started back in 1987 and a brief history can be found in the old post of Never Arise, blog wise old timers probably remember Scum system kill posted in low bitrate and no scans in the first weeks of this blog so here it is in fresh new rip and scans.
Scum system kill includes four tracks that were recorded in the fall of 1995 and was released in 1996 by Mangrove in several vinyl colors, according to Discogs "This record was pressed on a myriad of colors. Red with blue splatter, yellow marble & black also exist, most likely others as well") and was included in 2cd discography (Past and Future, released on Mangrove/MCR).
Never arise was the first S.D.S. record and was pure worship of Antisect, Amebix and Axegrinder with heavy guitar riffs and mid-paced tempos, in Scum System Kill and the seminal split LP w Misery S.D.S. moved forward to a type of crustcore that mixes their metallic heritage of UK's crust legends with faster tempos, aggressive riffs, noisier sound and the typical gruff Japanese vocals (even the shrieking vocals of Distort fucking hope fit nicely with the music), i don't know if the example is appropriate but they remind me of the Deviated Instinct changes from Terminal Filth Stenchcore and Welcome to the Orgy to Rock n Roll Conformity, Guttural Breath and Nailed. The Punk Metal Bastard of artwork is just nice, a sheet with a text written by Takacho (vox) is Japanese is included, not any colored vinyl here, just the typical black.
In Ameber, S.D.S. slightly moved to a more metallic crustcore by adding some more metal hints that appeared also in Digital Evil in your Life 10" and in split w Hong Kong Knife they presented some rock n roll elements, when they called it a day some members continued with Delta.
That's the crappy rant, now go get it and say someshit about the record

Black Kronstadt-Crimes of Capital, Crimes of the State (Hierarkill, 1992)

Black Kronstadt formed in early 90's in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and called it a day in mid '90's, their legacy is Crimes of Capital... 7", A world to Win 7", Free Spirit lp and a contribution in Retrogression #10 but what is important and their real heritage is the fact that they were the founders of what was later to become Blackened Crust, a sub-genre that was developed by Iskra, the band that arose from the ashes of Black Kronstadt. (Iskra members are involved with Skagos, Leper, Corrodead and others)
Crimes of Capital... was released in 1992 by Hierarkill Records (band's own label), the package is awesome, the record comes in poster shaped sleeve with amazing cover artwork, lyrics, explanations, special thanks and texts about topics related with the lyrics: the other side of foldout becomes poster and includes some artwork and small-letter font writings (just like Sludge and Lettuce) about Zapatistas and ELZN, a sheet with some poetry is included. Music wise this is powerful hardcore with shouted vocals and guitar riffs influenced by Discharge, Conflict, Chaos UK and the likes, (the Blackened Crust seeds started to grow a few years latter in A World to Win 7" before take their complete form in the intense guitar riffs and screamed vocals of Iskra) and as expected for a band named after the city that is synonymous with the rebellion that became the last cry and hope for freedom in Lenin's Soviet Union (read Ida Mett's book and check youtube for some old videos), lyric wise each track is a strong political statement, the first song "Tragedy" is about the desperate 12 day revolt and struggle in Barcelona in 1909, well written lyrics and interesting enough to make you sit down and read.

SS Decontrol-The kids have had their say 7" (bootleg,1990)

A little hardcore break and the first sXe record ever posted in this blog: Never thought i see me posting a straight edge record but what the hell... SS Decontrol (a.k.a. SSD) were "one of the first Boston hardcore bands and the core of the infamous "Boston Crew and the "narrow minds who think the narrow way"(mentioned in the liner notes to This is Boston Not LA of Modern Method Records). Their hardcore testament were The Kids Will Have Their Say 12"(1982, XClaim!/Dischord Rec.s), and Get it away LP (1983, XClaim!), then the change of their name to SSD brought some changes to the straight edge beliefs of band members and music wise they walked a new music direction. All this shit plus some details about their days and times back in the early 80's and about Boston scene can be found in Kill From the Heart.
I'm not much in to hardcore and definitely i m not into straight edge (actually a beer is here by my keyboard while i am typing this crap and these militant kids of '80's are far away to kick away the ladder lol lol lol) but The kids have had their say is a rare and hard to get bootleg because of the limited number of copies so is worth to be here and more or less that's how the story goes: This bootleg came out in 1990 and consisted of six tracks recorded live back in 1982 at Buff Hall, Camden, New Jersey. SSD people weren't happy about this, they discovered who did the bootleg (Revelation Records), they managed to remove a part of pressed copies and the remaining pieces became rare. This is it! According to Flex! only 400 copies were made, 60 numbered copies came with lyric sheet and poster.
Thats the rant, thanks to Pete for this gem. Despite of being a rare shit i saw a guy in a forum selling it for only 5 bucks, a copy appeared in eBay some months ago.

Wolfpack-Hellhound warpig 7" (Distortion Rec.s,1997)

This post was supposed to be Bloodstained dreams 7" but then i remembered that Hellhound warpig was posted some ages ago without scans and so here is the real shit for you
There is no much to say about Wolfpack since you know the basics, don't you?:Hellhound warpig came out in 1997 and its long out of print, Distortion Records is the label behind this diamond and apart from the classic black there were copies in red vinyl and white as well. Music wise delivers five tracks of Swedish hardcore with metal-edged sound blending melody, power and aggression in an amazing combination. Tracks move from midpaced yet steady (Gunhead battalion) to moderately fast chord progressions (Hellhound warpig), guitar sound delivers the right average of melody in roughness and aggression with raging riffs and some great clear melody lines with metallic hints that pop up here and there (Shapeshifter, Submission), bass is thick and dissonant and Jonnson's (Anti Cimex "fame") shouted vocals are just awesome,. These five tracks appeared later in the cd version of Lycanthro Punk on Regain Records, there is a forceful aura from the beginning to the end and the record delivers the goods, production/sound quality is excellent and there is nothing to complain to. Artwork is nice and this is what became Wolfpack's logo, lyrics included in an insert.

Hiatus-st 7" (Urban Alert Rec.s, 1990)

Another post with my fav. band from Hellgium: This is the first official Hiatus release back in 1990 on Urban Alert Records after two demo tapes and was followed by a bunch of ep's and split ep's and some lp's. This is a repost and it isn't: In 1991 Nabate Rec.s/Mother Peace Rec.s added one more song on B side (and erased first pressing's last track Elvis, which is a joke track in the vein of joke songs that appear in In my mind demo tape) and re-issued with the same artwork and titled as I don't scare easily but....
if you have downloaded I don't scare... then you know what you got here. This is the Hiatus record with the most obvious influences of Extreme Noise Terror and here you got it in a new rip and scans. Elvis, the last track is a blues ballad that last nearly a minute, good enough for a joke song :). Inside the gatefold cover you will find lyrics, special thanks and this statement: "We have been obliged to put All Rights Reserved sentence on the labels of this piece of plastic, We do not agree with that bullshit copyrights. Use, reproduce and tape at will!". Really nice guys!
i don't need to say anything about Hiatus, most of their ep's are already posted and much blurb is written about them, check also wikipedia for some more details on line ups and other bands connected. When they disbanded some members (Azil on guit. and Willy on bass) went on with Unhinged and in a different music direction. Recently they formed back and shared the stage with Sedition, Cress and others, no much updates there though,check some flyers on their myspace.
This is it, i don't want to keep it short but there is nothing left to say, now only the splits w Fleas and Lice and Reach A Mental Road are left to complete the Hiatus ep discog, hopefully will be posted here in the future. stay tuned ;)

Prophecy of Doom-Calculate Mind rape 7" (Prophecy Rec.s,1989)

Another piece of grinding crusty noise and a piece of vinyl coming from late '80's: Calculate Mind Rape was posted in summer of 2007 and here is again in fresh new rip and scans for all you audiophiles.
I need to rant some shit, actually to copy-paste some from the old post and add some new, so let's go:
The grindcore freaks Prophecy of Doom were from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire,UK. They started as Domination Factor and later became Prophecy of Doom. As Domination Factor they recorded the "Dominated till death" demo in 1987 and they had a live @ Mermaid in Brum (August '87). I have never heard anything of Domination Factor (probably they were a rotten noise band too) so if anyone of you UK old punks out there know any further info just drop a line
The first PoD recorded material was the "Insanity reigns supreme" demo(1988) and was followed by "Calculated mind rape and "Acknowledge the confusion master" lp in 1990 (Peaceville/Deaf), the Peel Sessions ep (1990,Strange Fruit), "Until the again 7" (Afterworld Records,1991, incl. three live recordings),the Second Peel Sessions (link is from Damaging Noise, thanx Sean!), the "Matrix" lp (1992,Metalcore Records) and "Ego-Death grind" demo (1996) which was recently released by Agipunk in seven inch under the title "Tri-battle thought-form engagement"
"Calculated mind rape" was the first vinyl release of PoD, it came out back in 1989 on Prophecy Records and its a two track piece of heavy as hell brutality with many tempo changes from mid paced to faster and back again,grinding guitars with heavy thrashing riffs, sludgy bass and the way grindcore should sound far from gore cliches and deathgrind bullshit, imagine Carcass without the blastbeats and you got PoD. Did i say grindcore? well, the production is a little sloppy, guitar is harsh and crunchy, vocals are unbelievably brutal but if the sound quality was a little better/cleaner and Shrew's singing was human and not these animal grunts, this would be another piece of Crust.
Both tracks appear in "Acknowledge the confusion master" lp in different recordings,(Hybrid thought is about a minute longer), Shrew (Vox) and Shrub (later on guitar) are now in drunk crusties Alehammer along with Scoot (Hellkrusher / Extinction of Mankind). According to Metal Archives, Dean the guy who played drums in "Calculate..." committed suicide in 2002...

Here is a compilation that delivers some great acts of noise coming from the Land of the Rising Sun: Tokyo Crusties is a 7" released in 1994 by DIY Records and includes Crocodile Skink, Battle of Disarm, Abraham Cross and Collapse Society.
The record comes in two gatefold pieces and includes lyrics and address infos of bands, DIY Records is a label run by Asada, vocalist of Battle of Disarm. My misunderstanding about a Tokyo Crusties vol2 caused by rumors on web was finally cleared when curious guy set things right: There is not any vo2 but Meaningful Consolidation 2x7" (also released by DIY Rec.s and a bunch of other labels), chronologically or because of the label involved could be considered as a vol2
Check this blog for more details about Crocodile Skink and Battle of Disarm, I know only a few about Collapse Society:they had a demo(1993) and a st/ 7" (on Overthrow Rec.s) which came with two different color covers (white and yellow) and there was a clear vinyl version of it. Abraham Cross were from Tokyo, "they began in the mid-90s as a relatively typical, though highly accurate, Tokyo crust imitator of England’s Sore Throat, Extreme Noise Terror, and Doom; today, they combine noisy crust with a krautrock influence to create a hybrid sound quite unlike any other band I have heard. “Message from Forever pt. 1” is their most meandering excursion"(from Shit-Fi.com)... Their discography includes a demo, Peace can't Combine (lp & cd), End of Time tape (Black Konflik Rec.s) and split w/ Struggle for Pride (2003,Paank Levyt), (i dont know if they have released any other shit, any help is appreciated) and appeared in several compilations (Meaningful Consolidation, Crust Night cd (2002,Tribal War Asia Rec.s), Terro-Rhythm, Tokyo Sound System I & II (2002-05,New Smell), Fuck Religion, Fuck War, Fuck The Lot Of Jesus! tape and also appeared in All Crusties Spending Lound Night dvd(2002).
Each band delivers two tracks, Abraham Cross bring the heavier stuff, they sound like a Doom/Extreme Noise Terror blending ( these tracks appear in Peace can't Combine along with the tracks from Meaningful Consolidation and other recordings from early '90's) though Battle of Disarm is the band that have copied the riff of Relief in Murderer is Hero, Crocodile Skink are just fine, Collapse Society come last for my taste but not bad at all..
i said enough.. go get it!

Misery-Born, fed... slaughtered 7" (AYF Records,1989)

Misery was the answer beyond the ocean to the crust and stenchcore anthems from the punk crust wastelands of United Kingdom back in the days where the genre was in its beginning. Misery's history is more or less widely known and you can find a nice story in their myspace with many details. After a demo tape and some line up changes the band released Born Fed..Slaughtered in 1989 on their own label AYF (Anarchist Youth Federation) Records. The cover was folded and there were two tracks on the vinyl bringing brutal stenching riffs,actually this was going to be a 4 track ep but finally came out as 2 track because of some pressing problems. There is a insert with 4 track lyrics sheet along with another sheet with the lyrics of the two tracks of ep and some line notes of members about this mess. (the two outtakes finally appeared in the Blindead ep), and the typical crust fashion of misprinting continues on vinyl label:it says 33 but must be played on 45 rpm. Only 600 copies were made and the whole thing was done with the help of Felix Havoc.
One year later this was released by Discarded Records and Under Siege Records as a three track ep (Total Destruction was added on side A to join the eponymous track while Falling of Darkness was on flip side),hopefully it will be posted in the next months.Discarded Records is the label behind the alternate sleeve edition of Doom's Police Bastard

Born Fed.. was posted in the first days of this blog in poor quality and no scans so here is the real deal, and a little strange shit that happened a few years ago: it was after a rally and i was standing in the end of the street watching the protesters leaving the place, frown, bad and ugly and lost in my thoughts, then some people who were carrying a banner came closer, the banner was a kind of paper-wall,it was symbolically the capitalism and on each brick it was written some of capitalism good things such as exploitation, poverty, ruling class parasites, third world genocide etc. then the wind started blowing,some paper bricks left the wall and one of these after a strange flight came and landed straight into my face, i grabbed it and read it:"misery". oh shit!i tried to hide it but it was too late:i heard my friends laughing and one of them said "hey,even the wind known that you are Captain Misery"!!!
I feel nice to see you guys even if things are a little harder than the last months, more shit came, more misery to face, cheers

For some reasons of my own i need to stop updating the blog for some time. The lazy puppy in the picture doesn't mean boredom, i had to put some pic there, i put it cos is cute and lovely. Well, there are some reasons that will keep me busy, some of them are easy but others a bit hard. There will be no free time in the next weeks, there will be some hard working in summer heat, then i have to travel far from home for some weeks during the July (no,its not holiday), on the other hand this financial crisis is getting worse (i hope only it will not make me cancel my internet connection to save some money) and mood is bad as shit. Right now i can't tell when 7inchcrust start to roll again, hopefully in the end of next month or so, there is a pile of old 7"s waiting for their turn but have to wait for some time.
ok this is it, shut down the machines for a while.

Napalm Death-Mentally murdered 7"

Lets take a grindcore break after all these crust/D-beat/whatever pieces of noise. This was posted in summer of '07 and here it i again in a fresh new rip and scans.
There is only a few that a have to say about this: Mentally murdered 12" (Earache Records) was the six track swan song for the classic line up and grinding Napalm Death era and the last chapter that also included the split w S.O.B. that marked the change to lengthy tracks that last over a minute, (un)tuned-down distorted guitar and deep deep low growling vockills. The seven inch edition delivers two tracks, the title track and Cause and Effect both taken from the 12"
And then you know how the story goes: Lee Dorian formed Cathedral and Billy Steer left Napalm Death to concentrate on Carcass, Napalm Death recorded their next release Harmony corruption at the infamous Morrisound Recording and became a death metal band with new line up and made the step into metal territory
Now go get it, as i said in the previous Napalm Death post this is a 21 years old piece of shit of rotting noise, good as an old bottle of wine, enjoy it!. I have to keep it short, its Saturday night and i need a drink too. Cheers!

Disprove-st 7" (repost)

We 'll keep bringing old posted records in fresh new rips and here's some Japanese D-beat freaks: This piece of shit was posted in spring of '08 and here it is in a fresh new rip and scans: Disprove were a D-beat band from Tokyo Japan and this is their eponymous ep, they were connected with Beyond Description (BD bassist and guitarist handle the vocals while the singer plays bass) and their discography is this st ep and a split 7" with Avgrund from Slovakia on Forest Records (link from Mangel Crusties blog)
The st ep was recorded in December '04, it was released in 1995( ?) by Forest Records and delivers six tracks of absolute Discharge worship: An insert with lyrics is included and cover artwork is taken from Genetic Control 's st lp and First Impressions ep while the songs are six pages grabbed from Discharge's Book of D-beat. The logo letter font, the Dis-name are the proof of whats going on here:This is powerful D-beat full of rage with dual yelled vocals and "Survive your war" is "Protest to survive"
Forest Rec.s is behind some great records such as Guka/Daston-split (thanks Ray), Effigy/Aparat-split, No Hesitation to Resist vol 1 & 2, "F.I.O.M.'s The way ahead is very narrow 7" andDisprove/Avgrund split 7"

Panikos-st 7"

Another repost with a record that was posted in the first days of this blog: Panikos is the living history of Greek crust punk scene, they started back in 1989 when they recorded The War Continues demo tape. In 1995 this ep came out and one years later the split lp with WWK from Germany, their last release was the eponymous cd-r in 2000. A few year later Punk.gr Records released The Burning of the Brain discog cd including all tracks from their releases plus the tracks from the legendary Disturbance of Domestic Peace.
The next years the band was inactive but they were formed back in 2003 for one gig in Anarchists camp in Thessaloniki, Greece during the E.U. summit. Recently they came back in action and started playing gigs while there are plans for a new record on Scarecrow/Scream Rec.s/Alcoholic Desaster
the s/t 7" was released by Genet Records, the package includes a foldout poster with lyrics, translation in English, some poetic writing and the usual special thanks. Artwork is just fine, music wise there are two tracks,"When are we going to learn" starts with with slow pace and continues with changes of fast and midpace parts. "All for the money' is one of the greatest songs they even recorded, it starts with a ambient-ish acoustic intro that turns to a heavy mid-paced crust attack.
I said enough, check their myspace for some previously unreleased tracks and new versions of old songs and an amazing cover of Beyond the Sun recorded for a Balcan Amebix Tribute.

Doom/Hiatus-split 7"

Doom are back in action, yeah the legends are back after a near 10 year break and they are on the road: They recently appeared in Scumfest (some pics are here), next week they are going to burn the stage of Punk Illegal, a week later they are going to Hellfest in France, next is DIY Hardcore Punk Festival Vol.6 in Poland and Obscene Extreme Fest.
After all these news everything about Lost the Fight seems to be out of the mood and irrelevant.. anyway this came out in 1993 (or early '94?) on Flat Earth Records and both bands cover one track of each others, Relief cover is funny as hell. The rest tracks are just fine as expected, the record come in gatefold and lyrics included for both bands, Doom side cover artwork was made by Simon the guy behind Arnie Zine.
Hiatus are back in action too but their myspace seems to be abandoned, in their myspace there is a Adobe Flash Player with flyers from 2008-09 when they shared the stage with Sedition, Cress and others
Recently Agipunk released Lost the fight/Pro-life control sessions lp including the tracks from splits with Selfish and Hiatus (plus two comp tracks in the cd version) and is still available

Nausea-Cybergod 7"

Nausea was born the in late '80's the days the NY scene blossomed and many great bands appeared, these dudes lived the days of Tompkins Square Riots and Squat or Rot gigs of Ralphy Boy (Jesus Chrust, Dissassociate), they toured in Europe and the States and released some records that are classic: Extinction lp(1990, Profane Existence), Cybergod 7" and Lie Circle 7"('93,Graven Image Records), they appeared also in compilations of Maximum Rock and Roll, Allied, and Vermiform. When Neil, founding member and vocalist walked away to form Jesus Chrust, Al Ternative of Misery joined the band.
All these interesting stories and other details can be found here. Cybergod was one of the following posts to Smash Divisions back in spring of '07 and here it is again with all the goods. It delivers two heavy tracks and comes with an insert including the (anti-religious) lyrics. According to Flex! Discog of US Punk & HC "first pressing on black vinyl, second on red, lyric sheets are different, also the second sleeve is printed lighter so the drawing comes out much better. Some sleeves on dull paper, some on high gloss paper", there is also a repress of blue vinyl.
This was released by Allied Recordings, a San Francisco based label that released also records of Neurosis, Antischism and others.

Disrupt-Smash divisions 7"

There is no much to say about this: Here is another Disrupt piece of noise coming from 1992: Smash divisions delivers ten live tracks, recorded in New Haven Connecticut in summer of 1991. This was released by SOA Records, according to the label "Fist pressing of 1200 copies went out in hard plastic bag, yellow/black labels and 100 copies in red vinyl. Following copies had soft plastic bag, different colored vinyls and white/blue labels." The record comes in gatefold cover including lyrics and in the usual crust trend the songs are not printed in the right order, though the back cover tracklist is correct :). I don't know in how many different colors this came out, i have seen a blue and a dark purple version, probably there must be some more colors.

Mist-Alle räder stehen still 7"

Mist were a short-lived crust act from Bautzen, a town located in eastern Saxony, Germany, they formed in 1997 and recorded two demo tapes: Gerechtigkeit (1997,19 tracks) and Widerstand (1998, 10 tracks), in 1999 they released Alle räder stehen still 7" which is their one and only official release. These little infos there are on their myspace, i dont know any other shit about them so if you know anything (connection with other bands, rumors, gossips,any kind of bullshit) just drop some lines.
Alle räder stehen still 7" was recorded in Berlin and was released by Vulgar Records. Lyrics and everything in the package is written in German so i dont understand what they say (ok, the title of second song says what this track is about..) any help is appreciated. There are six tracks here that last thirteen minutes and deliver crustie flavored heavy hardcore. the guitar is thick, vocals are rough and drums are fast (in some songs the band seems to take off,check "Ignoranz totel"), imagine the harse sound of German hardcore then add a dose of crust, some brutality, some blastbeats, some mid-paced parts here and there, throaty vocals and fast drumming and you got Mist.
Vulgar ran out of this, almost the entire 7" is available for your listening pleasure in their myspace, give it a listening and then get it

Hiatus/Embittered-split 7"

I always remember this comment made by an anonymous guy some years ago:"Post some bands that sound like Doom and Disrupt!". Well, here is a split with two bands that sound like Doom and almost like Disrupt: This piece of crust came out in 1992 on Desperate Attempt Records, Hiatus from Liege, Hellgium, need no introduction, some of their records are already posted here (and hopefully some more will be posted soon) so there is no need for some ranting about them, a detailed history there is in their previous posts plus the fact that they were well known and more or less you already know them. What might be new to some is that they are back in action and they have played some gigs
Embittered were from UK, they were active in early/mid '90's, they recorded a couple of demo tapes and released some nice records before call it quit in 1996/97, members were involved in several other bands, here's the saying of Ash, member of band:"Embittered did an earlier demo than 'And You Ask Why' with me on bass, Bri on vocals, Darren (also of Malediction) on guitar and Dave on drums. For "You Ask Why..", Anth joined on 2nd vocals and Sean took over on guitar. Next up in 1992, we did a split ep with Hiatus from Belgium before touring Europe with them and Sweden's Svarts Sno. Gus then replaced Sean on guitar and we recorded a split Lp with Dystopia. Our final recording was an ep called Choked (listen it here and here)featuring even more new members including Mark and Shaun from Malediction. After Embittered, me, Bri and Dale formed Manfat although I left after a year. Bri and Dale then went onto John Holmes and are now doing Goatspeed. Gus joined Hellkrusher, toured America with them in the mid 1990's and never came back home! I've since done 5 year stints in Sawn Off, Boxed In, War All The Time and, as of last month, Deaths Black Riders" (this was written in Errorizer forum).
Rob, one of Embittered vocalists (he sang on "Choked") passed away the last winter a few days before Christmas from a heart attack....

Anti State-When corporations rule the world 7''

I know only a few shit about Anti State: they were a hardcore band from Portland, they were active around 1998/2000, they released two ep's on Gasmask Records: When Corporations rule the world and a split w Estado de Paz, members went on with Moral Hazard, i don't know if these two releases are the complete Anti State discog, please write some lines in you know anything. Gasmask Rec.s was a small label based in Portland, it is not related with the myspace'd labels with the same name and back in early '00's they released records of Axiom, Anti State, Moral Hazard and Chupacabra.
"When Corporations..." was recorded in summer of 1998 and was released the same year (not sure about this), it comes in gatefold cover with a political text related to record's title and lyrics printed inside and a twelve page booklet including an excerpt from Michael Moore's book "Downsize this!" from 1996 and detailed explanation of lyrics. Lyrics wise the band has done some great work, interesting and informative enough it can make you sit down and read it. Music wise it delivers five tracks of rough and dark hardcore with tempo changes from midpaced parts to fast outbreaks and dual shouted vocals, sometimes they sound like a dark and crusty version of MDC (there's an anti-McDonland's song here ('Vile horrendous McCrap' dealing the same shit with 'Corporate Deathburger')

Greek gov. voted the new austerity measures today (06/5) incl. rise of taxes, pension and wage cuts and some new shit about education and insurance system as well while some new measures are in the works for the near future. Cancer Spreading/Cruel Storm-split 7"

Someone requested "more Italian crust" some time ago, well here is some Italian stenching crust and D-beat: Both bands come from Italy, this split is a new release (it came out in 2009) and almost out of print. Thanks to both bands for allowing to post it
Cruel Storm is a four piece D-beat act, they formed in Cesena and apart from this split they released Clerical Nightmare six track tape on Goodbye Mankind distro/label, some tracks are on their myspace page. Stenchcore crusties Cancer Spreading formed in 2007 in Modena and recorded Stench Core Scum demo tape that was followed by a split w Children of Technology, the split w Cruel Storm and a 12" split w Disköntroll. A new 7", a split w Drunkards and a contribution in a Sore Throat tribute the future plans
The split came out in 500 copies on a co-operation of a bunch of labels (Nuclear Chaos, Last Decay Rec.s Goodbye Mankind, Poseido Rec.s, Blasting Ressurection Prod, Death Crush distro, NKTN Rehorz). Each band contributes two tracks: Cancer Spreading deliver two anthems of heavy metallic stenchcore with dual guitar attack, fast beat that sometimes turns to slower yet steady and powerful and deep low growling vocals, the sound quality is excellent, this is a great piece of stenching crust in the vein of Deviated Instinct. Cruel Storm offer two tracks of raw D-beat that reminds of Anti Cimex with distorted guitar, yelled/shouted vocals and fast bashing drums, their sound is raw and distorted and delivers the goods. The gory artwork is misleading since this kind of shit is usual in grind/goregrind bands, the record comes in gatefold cover with lyrics (in Italian) for both bands.

Apocalypse-Earth 7"

There were many metal bands with the name Apocalypse, this particular Apocalypse was a crust outfit from Walnut, California, they formed in 1987 and recorded a seven track demo tape, their first release was a split ep w Transgression (1990 on Desperate Attempt) and was followed by a split ep w Mindrot (1991,Tempest Rec.s) and Earth 7". Members went on to form Monolith and joined local bands such as Glycine Max and Scarred for Life. In late '90's Half Life Records released a 22 track discography cd including all recorded material.
Earth came out in 1992 on Crust Records in 1000 copies (this was the first release of Crust Rec.s) in hand-numbered sleeve and delivers three tracks of raw metallic crust that reminds of 80's UK bands and balances between Antisect and Hellbastard. Actually there are two lengthy tracks: Mother Earth (that lasts over six minutes) and Heart of Man (lyrics incl. in the gatefold cover for both tracks), Wimp-core,the last song sounds like a grindcore song and lasts for only 5-6 seconds. Inside the gatefold you will find the lyrics and a brief history of swastika and it's use by ancient civilizations as a symbol of good luck or immortality .

Napalm Death-The curse 7" (repost)

This was posted in the first days of this blog in March of 2007 and since i have been a Napalm Death maniac and a grindcore freak back in the days of early '90's, i feel the need to bring it back to light, so here it is.
The sound of seminal Scum lp founded what was called grindcore, Scum was followed by From Enslavement to Obliteration in 1988 and there were many versions of it: Gatefold lp, picture vinyl, splatter vinyl and 2 cd versions (28 track & 54 track incl. Scum as bonus). The lp version included The Curse 7" that was given away for free with the initial copies of lp.
The front cover is a classic photo from Vietnam war, children running to escape, one of them is already hit by the napalm bomb. There are five songs here,the eponymous track covers side a and was a new song, its a slow and sick instrumental track that lasts over three minutes, side b delivers four tracks (incl. two one-shot songs of a few seconds each in the vein of You suffer) in the usual ND hypersonic speed and appeared in the cd version.
I don't know how many copies were made, i think i saw somewhere there were 800 pieces, i guess the truth is close to 600-800 copies or so. Anyway this is one of the most obscure ep's Earache Records ever released.
This is vinyl rip and not taken from a cd or whatever that's why the rough sound, this is a 22 years old piece of shit, good as an old bottle of wine, enjoy it and cheers!

Victims-Harder than it was meant to be 7''

I haven't been posting lately, I have been busy with other shit, finally i managed to save sometime and bring some noise. As you may have already noticed the number of posts on front page was reduced and the list of links goes down down the page, this is a trouble cause by the blogger, i tried to fix it, Whisp tried too but the problem so we have to live with it....
Just a little rant here to fill the space beside the pictures since more or less you know the band: Harder than it was meant to be was the first ep of Victims, it was released in 1999 on Yellow Dog Rec.s. The band formed in 1997 and as they say "never really planned on doing anything else than playing percise and to the point hardcore". A demo tape was recorded and these tracks appeared in Harder than... 7" some years later. The record comes in gatefold cover that includes lyrics, and delivers eight songs of Discharge/Anticimex influenced D-beat hardcore full of power, Mieszko Talarczyk(Nasum, Genocide SS) helped in the studio. The record is long out of print, and it appeared as bonus in the cd version of Neverendinglasting (Scorched earth Policy)
Victims are still active, now as a trio and still deliver the goods, their last release is Lies, lies, lies 7'' on Deathwish Inc. Check their site and their myspace, in case you wanna score some records, Yellow Dogs still has some of their releases

Slain/State of Filth-split 7"

A split ep with two obscure bands from United Kingdom. I know only a few about State of Filth, they were from Preston Lancashire and they released this split w Slain and the split cdr w Anarchy Spanky plus some contributions in compilations such as The Boredom And The Bullshit 7" (1996, Refusenik Rec.s w Manfat, One by One and others) and More Noise By Nice Boys 7" (1997,Existence Decay ., Insane Society Rec.s). I know absolutely nothing about Slain, all i know is they were from Aberdeen, if you can add some information about both bands please drop a line,
This split came out in 1998 on Enslaved Records and Smack in the Mouth Records, it comes in gatefold cover with lyrics for both bands but unfortunately there is no any other info. The way Slain lyrics are printed gives false picture of track list but the vocals are clear enough so you can understand whats going on. There are thirteen tracks that hardly last over a minute each (11 minutes total running time), music wise this is a crazy blending of hardcore and grindcore : Slain deliver crazy hardcore with hyperspeed outbreaks and insane male/female vocals while State of Filth are more heavier and sometimes they touch the grind fields.

Nausea-Lie cycle 7" (repost)

Destitute populations/diseased minds/censored opinions/dwelling on time! Yeah! this is repost of Nausea's classic Lie cycle and there are only a few things to say(repeat) here: This came out on Graven Image Records, the four tracks were recorded after Nausea's European tour (91-92), Amy had left the band before these swansong recordings and Nausea called it a day before the ep come out (it came out in 1993 when they were history). There are four tracks here, a new song, one taken from demo, the new version of a compilation track and one slow and heavy song, about six minutes long that could be written by Amebix or State of the Union. The picture on back cover ~~is from Lucio Fuici's Zombie movie (thanks Scrachbrad)~~ was used by Red Light in the poster sleeve/fold out cover of their 7"), 6500 copies of Lie cycle were made, a few hundreds in neon-green and light-blue vinyl, first 1000 copies came with original Graven Image sleeve, these tracks appeared in "The Punk Terrorist Anthology vol. 1" (Black Noise Rec.s)

I don't like birthdays, i can't stand it. You need to remember dates, get some presents,be pleasant to visitors, oh man i don't like this celebration shit, happiness and fun and bullshit. On the other hand a day like this its always a good excuse for booze and drunk time with a few good friends.
But this particular birthday never gets me bored: its the date this blog started in March of 2007. Shiitt.. we have grown up and become three years old, its only three years but it looks so distant, now looking back i see many hours spent to keep this crappy blog alive and Whispy's helping hand was a fresh air. Many thanks to everyone who helped in his way: contributing a record, adding some information, correcting a mistake or just entering to say "hello,you think you are cool but you really suck!" We don't know how long this blog with stay alive but it will as long as we have some noise to post and as long as your comments give some courage when we are exhaust (and bored lol).
This is it, now i m going to get some more booze. Oh i forgot the record: well, there is no need to say anything about Kaaos and the legendary Totaalinen Kaaos ep. This is vinyl rip from Totaalinen Kaaos 12" (2003,Hohnie Records, no i don't own this 7" jewel) and covers were blatantly stolen from Finnmusic.net.

Wretched-In nome del loro potere tutto e'stato fatto 7''

This is a bootleg of Wretched's classic first ep (after the split w Indigesti) that was self-released back in 1983. No chance to find a lot of blurb shit about this, more or less you know about these vets since Wretched were one of the bands that marked the Italian hardcore scene and along with some others they were the moving power in the global hardcore scene in early '80's : "The band took strong anti-war and pro-anarchist stands through their lyrics and imagery. They also self-released all of their records on a label that came to be known as Chaos Productions. The band lived at the infamous Milano squat Virus, which played host to many classic hardcore shows in the early-mid '80's". Kill From The Heart has a detailed history of band and you will find it here. According to discogs this came out in 1000 copies and included an insert, the title translates "In the name of their power and made in order to destroy the world you live in" or something like that and that's what it delivers: Eight tracks of primitive and cacophonous hardcore with discordant guitars, chaotic drums, basic basslines and sickening vocals. And that was back in the beginning in early '80s.

Red Light-st 7"

Here is another crust band from Poland and i dont know not any shit about them, this ep came out on Malarie in 1998, in 1995 they released a split tape w Amen.
if you know anything about these dudes please fill the blank lines, there is no any info on the web and the few texts on cover are in polish (except the translation of lyrics in english). The record comes in fold out cover that becomes a poster (which is the back cover photo of Nausea's Lie cycle 7"). Music wise this is slow/mid paced doomy metallic crust a bit slower that what you 'd expect, they remind me of a dark Insuiciety version. There are three tracks, Jedna godzina is slow and ear tormenting, Slowa prawdy and Bezpieczenswo are mid paced yet sick and shitty, vocals are shouted and rough, lyrics are personal and pessimistic and aesthetically are close to artwork. There is not any marking on vinyl labels telling which side is A and B and this was a pain in the ass, the way the lyrics are printed makes things worse so i had to listen carefully the polish words(i don't understand any word in polish) and then i realized that i had to rename the songs and start all shit from the beginning.

Ok, here we are again after this little break, not really break since some ep's are already ripped and scanned and wait for their turn, lets roll it: This is a repost from an Extinction of Mankind 7" that was posted in the first days of this blog: You know the band so there is no need to tell anything about them: Weakness delivers four tracks and 12:25" of the familiar to all of us Extinction of Mankind metallic crust, it was released in 1994 by Skuld Releases when the band still had the starting line up, 3.000 copies were made, the cover was white with red logo and a fold-out poster sleeve with lyrics and artwork, the red cover you see here is one of the 310 red covered copies that were made but are not fold out poster, actually the front-back covers of my copy are photocopies,wtf? probably there were 310 copies left without the sleeve and and Skuld Releases put em out this way, it could have been done better though.Anyway, even if this was released this way, it still is a nice record, an insert included here with lyrics and some artworks.
ps:Long long time ago someone requested the artwork of Scatha/Dagda-split,Whispy took a break from his vacation in exotic islands and his bussines with stockholders, CEO's and other punks , he decided to work on it and finally did it, see it, thanks Whisp :)

Inkwizycja-Słowo 7"

This is Polish hardcore/crust at its finest: Inkwizycja were the legends of Polish punk scene, they were formed back in 1989 by U.O.M. members and they were the very first band from Poland that released a self - released record in 1991 (Na Własne Podobieństwo LP, with a little help from Nikt Nic Nie Wie Records). According to Hardcore Holocaust "One of their concerts was banned by the local bishop who got mad seeing posters for Inkwizycja and Amen concert in his town". They played about 400 gigs, a decade after Na Własne Podobieństwo they released Stare Fotografie (in Nikt Nic Nie Wie too).
Słowo was released in 1998 by Nikt Nic Nie Wie and consists of five tracks of crusty hardcore with heavy and emotional riffs, great leading guitar parts and nice bass lines. Tracks walk mostly in mid pace, 12:05 is a bit faster, the singer sings in Polish his verses (written in a really poetic way), there are some sheets with artwork (in the crust vein), lyrics texts, band's history and translation in English as well. The artwork is nice and it reminds me of Napalm Death's Mass appeal madness cover.
Thats the blurb. Due to some pressing problems the needle stuck between 12:05 and Stworcy and refused to play the next song so i had to "jump" that space: A few seconds of the later are missing and a few of the first should be erased :)

State of the Union-Rez-Erection 7"

Rez-Erection was the second ep of State of the Union and was released back in 1995 by Profane Existence in 3000 copies. God of Another Faith had seen the light of day a year later and in 1998 Profane released their s/t lp (1000 copies, sold out in a few weeks, never repressed). In 2000 the band recorded five tracks for an upcoming lp that never came out. Finally, Profane released SotU's discog in the long awaited To The Bitter End in 2008, including all their recorded material. In the meantime SotU called it a day and members went on with Wormwood, The Prids and other acts
Here' is the plot: Imagine Amebix back in 1989/90 taking the decision to go on for some more years, probably their new records would sound like their old stuff with 90's sound. And this is how State of the Union sound like in Rez-Erection: A modern version of Amebix and close to bands such as Neurosis and Sleep. Rez and God of Another faith have this dark crust feeling but here the songs have some hints of industrial-ish elements and clean acoustic breaks. In their lp the band made more steps to Christdriver territory by using more and more atmospheric elements, samples-intros, clean breaks etc and these can be found in their unreleased tracks too.
There will be no download link for this: To The Bitter End is out of print from Profane but available for downloading from Moshpit Tragedy, Rez tracks can be found there. Get it from there and check their metamorphosis from a crust band to something cold, industrial-ish emotional yet metallic, dark and great .

This is a repost, "Someday... " was ripped a few months ago and i kept it for a case like this (bored and pissed with Pohjasakka shit). This was posted in October of 2008 and here it is again @320 blah blah blah, i ll type some blurb to fill the space near the picture, (people, do you read all this shit i blurb for years?) for more information you can check the old post or their myspace: FITPTTDS was formed in Mannheim, Germany in 1998 and "Someday..." was released by Scorched Earth Policy in 1999, the rest of their releases can be found in Tatooine's Mosh Eisley in the outer rim territories of Blog-galaxy.

Napalm Death-Suffer the children 7" (limited edition)

While my new power supply unit is on the way home lets keep this alive with this old rarity. I ve been looking for this ep for ages since mid 90's but somehow i already owned it from the beginning: Back in early '90's the days of my passionate Napalm Death love and the tape trading years, a good friend of mine sent me a messed up tape: Just try to figure it: 90 minutes of grindcore, no cover, no track list, no nothing. I managed to identify some bands and Napalm Death was among them in a live recording. Back in the day several live ND records pop so i thought it must be taken from one of these, i recognized the tracks, The Kill, Scum, Extremity retained and Life? but never cared where these were taken from. Then, a few months ago i started checking the tracklists of ND live records and the truth revealed before my eyes: These tracks were the b side of limited version of Suffer the children 7". wow! lets cheer up!

There were three releases under the name Suffer the Children: A two track 7" (incl. Suffer.. from Harmony corruption) and a great re-recording of Siege Of Power, a song taken from Bullen-Broadrick era), a three track 12"/cdep (same as the 7" plus an outro) and this edition with four tracks covering b side, recorded live at the I.C.A, London, 29 June 1990, these tracks are not included in the nine track Live at the I.C.A 12" (Earache Rec,s )
This is it, we ll be back soon with some oldies (Pohjasakka, Wretched etc) this will be available for a short time, covers are taken from Discogs site, this is not my rip,(my pc is still out of duty,this post was done from a friend's computer) thanks to the guy who ripped it and unleashed it on the web. Uncle Charles/Human Waste-split 7"

This was ripped in the "same session" with Gotcha and was supposed to be posted a couple of days ago but shit happened, anyway lets go for the blurb:
This is a split with two respective members of Swedish scene: There is no need to say much about Human Waste. They started in 1998 and released a bunch of 7"s , split 7"s and a couple of cd-r's, (too many to mention here, check their myshit). Members were and are involved in numerous other bands (Dodsdomd, Mardrom, Ambulance, Warvictims etc. Syllen was almost in every band that pop up around) and some of their records float in blogs and distros. (Stig of Mad Blasts of Chaos posted the rare Var Finns Alla Polarna 7" pic disc, grab it here).
Uncle Charles were from Östersund, they released less stuff than Human Waste and were short lived, they formed in 2002 and included members of Human Waste, they released Action speaks louder than words 7" and In Crust we Trust 10", there is also the Another Day, Another Dollar demo-cd-r and a live split cd-r with Human Waste
The split was released in 2003 by a bunch of labels (Halvfabrikat, Wasted Sounds, Regression Rec.s and New Noise Rec.s) and was limited to only 410 copies, there was a version of 116 white copies with spray-painted cardboard sleeves and one year later a clear red vinyl version came out in 518 copies .

Agathocles-Gotcha 7"

While i was typing this my computer decided to crash and my rant was lost so i had to write it down twice. Then the fold out cover was too large for my scanner and was a headaching trouble to scan it partially but at last i made it. Uuff...
Gotcha ep is another piece of noise in the endless list of 7"s and split ep's of mincecore masters from Hellgium, tracks were recorded back in 1998 and appeared in AG/Comrades and AG/Comrades/Ravage split cd's before the band decide to take the recordings out of the shelf and self-release it. The package is nice and a cool surprise for a band that releases a few dozens of records each year: It comes in fold out cover that surrounds the black vinyl and inside you will find the lyrics, some infos about the recording and AG's biography from 1985-04. I don't know how many copies were made, probably 500 or so, there are eight track here and deliver the usual slow down and melodic bluesy shit you need to cares your eardrums and make you relax

Anti Mob-st 7"

The first post for this year, crusty new year and best wishes to everyone and hope you had great time
Last night i listened to Anti Mob/Burial-split and i shat my pants, both band fucking rule so i decided to put this in the turntable and bring it to you
Anti Mob come from Athens, Greece and this is their first official release. They started as Grey City in 2006 and soon they changed their name to Anti Mob and recorded a demo tape, in fall of '07 they recorded the s/t 7" that was self-released a few months later and recently the split with Burial came out on Hardware Records. Members of Anti Mob are behind the amazing Mountza zine and in bands such as Swartz and Anger, Hitler Died From Tzatziki (lol) and Nekra Katsikia Trikavalo(dead goats three-ride, lol lol lol), in 2008 they toured in central Europe (Damnark, Germany and Czech Rep.)
The ep delivers four tracks of heavy hardcore/crust with shouted vocals (and some backing deep low growls), bass and drums are heavy pounding, guitars are heavy and tuned down with catchy riffs that stay in your mind and some strange melodies appear from time to time in leading guitar parts reminding of Annihilation Time and bands that put hard rock elements in punk.
Their last release came out on Hardware Records and its much more brutal and aggressive, Burial kick ass too (already posted here)

Ženevski Dekret-Neću da budem dio jebene mase 7"

This is punk behind the iron curtain and an old jewel: Ženevski Dekret (Geneve Decree) started back in 1983 in Mostar (ex-Yugoslavia and now Bosnia and Herzegovina). Back in the day things were hard despite the fact Yugoslavia was "something better that the other countries of existing socialism" in matters of freedom of speech so their first demo Mostar came out three years later in 1986 and was followed by Dont wanna be a part of fucking mass (that translates Neću da budem dio jebene mase) in 1988.
For more details about the old days, some tunes,the reunion in 1996 and later recordings check their myshit and if you speak their native language take a look at their blog. Neću da budem.. 7" is a three track ep released in 2007 by Ne! Records and Mama Records (what a name!) and delivers three tracks taken from the studio Vogue session of '88 for Dont wanna be a part.. recording.
The ep came out in 500 copies in 2007, the band offers it for free in their blog but the link is dead. A pocket sized booklet written by Habbi member of band, with the history and lyrics is included (you ll find the .pdf in the dwnld folder) and music wise this is rough, angry and primitive hardcore much more brutal than their first demo which has melodic moments.

Ekkaia-Ya Hemos Aguanto El Sermon Ahora Lo Destrozaremos 7'' (bootleg?)

This was one of the first posts of this blog back in March of '07 and here it is again with different artwork and colored vinyl. Ya Hemos.. was the last Ekkaia record, actually i don't know if this copy you get here is the official release or a bootleg, there is no any insert with lyrics, artwork is completely different, you can see Stonehenge Records on back cover but the printing is a bit clumsy and low quality, furthermore there is no any information about colored vinyl in Stonehenge site.
Anyway boot or not here you got it @ 320, scans and shit. This comes in gate fold, see the artwork then check the old post and the conclusion is yours. The vinyl is clear yellow with black shades, looks like they put and mixed together some remaining colors, vinyl labels are blank with some drawing and no any shit about Ekkaia and Stonehenge.
I don't need to say any shit about the band so here ends the blurb. If you know anything about the record just drop a line and enlighten us if this is either boot or official. I don't know if there will be any other post before Christmas so Happy Crustmas to all of you out there k mi skizeste toso na sxoliazete :)

Wind of Pain-State of brutality 7"

Wind of Pain was a crust band from Helsinki, Finland, they formed around 1993 by people who were also in Selfish, Forca Macabre, Rytmihäiriö, Circus of Flesh and the viking/folk metallers Moonsorrow. They recorded Warpain Explosion three track demo tape and two years later they released two split ep's with Finnish punks Sian Iho (selfreleased) and Money Drug from Poland on Scream Rec.s. State of brutality was released in 1996 and one year later they released Wealthrevel 7" (Scapegoat Rec.s), a split tape with Disclose came out in 1999 by the Slovenian label Abnormal Tapes. Worldmachine was their first and only full length, it came out in 1999 by Malarie. Malarie also released the discog tape Mutilate Mankind, incl. the 95-97 recorded material plus some compilation tracks (thanks to Kris for the link)
State of brutality came out in February of 1996 by the Japanese label Paank Levyt and there is a second pressing (clear vinyl). There are six tracks but only five on the tracklist on back cover, music wise this delivers mid pace to fast crust with metallic riffs, rhythm section full of energy and deep low throaty vocals, imagine Hellshock playing their their songs faster and using a few Hellbastard riffs here and there and you got Wind of Pain.

One year after Alexis murder and the following revolt, Greece is in turmoil again . One year before, politicians and journalists, their mental servants, all together in an orchestrated symphony of lies tried to prove that was just meaningless violence and not a revolt.
One year later protestors are back and the fresh new social-democratic gov unmasked the true face behind the liberal rhetoric:Raiding a anarchist social centre and Keratsini occupied Town Hall as well, transpassing the academic asylum and arresting people, apart from police brutality a new way of terror arose: More than 800 protestors were taken to police department just to be identified (and recorded in police files). Riots broke out in several cities(here and here), media and politicians played their role again.

Cerecloth-Encrusted in an oaken legend 7"
Cerecloth (pronounced "seer-cloth") was a shortlived band from Middlesbrough and a well kept secret of UK's underground scene, they were formed by the guitarist of obscure deathsters Malediction in early '90's and in 1992 they recorded the Godless passages demo tape, one year later they released Encrusted in an Oaken Legend on GWB Records and this is their one and only official release.
The cover artwork is close to the usual crust artwork, music wise this is an amazing blending of Morbid Angel's technical death metal ,Skyclad's metal folk riffs and flute tunes of Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). Guitar is sick and heavy and enriched by Darren O'Hara's skills, delivers tons of tormenting riffs while rhythm section is in the same level. The similarities with Morbid Angel are obvious (the opening riff of Beautiful Lying Faces is a page taken from Morbid Angel's book) and some slower emotional parts with flute work really nice.
Honestly, i didn't know the existence of this band until the day i discovered this treasure in Wood'sman Axe blog, many thanks to Balbulus who kindly let me post this for you

Silence/Burning the Prospect-split 7"

This is an amazing split with two bands delivering some blasting crust tunes, it came out in December 2006 in limited number of copies and it is sold out.
Silence from Poland continue the great tradition of Polish crust bands, they were born from the ashes of Antichrist, in 2003 they released Hypnosis 7'' and that was followed by a couple of 12" (Echoes of Depression,2004, Mad civilization,2005 and a split with Irish crusties Easpa Measa in 2007)
Burning the Prospect started in 2004 and their discog includes a couple of 7"(and splits) limited to 350-500 copies and No Great Design cd (2008,FETO Rec.s), check their myspace for more
This was released by a co-operation of labels: I Come For Your Children(USA), Acclaim Collective (Japan), Right to Refuse (UK) and Sadness of Noise and was limited to 550 copies (according to ICFYC there were only 400 copies). Silence bring two tracks of emotional crust in the vein of From Ashes Rise and Tragedy with thick guitars, dark melodies, hard beating rthythm section and powerful vocals. Bri of Doom did the studio work for Burning the Prospect and the result was a three track assault of heavy and gloomy crust with a touch of Swedish hardcore sound. Sound quality is excellent, lyrics included in the gate fold cover(there is English translation of Silence lyrics, copies for Japan included a sheet in Japanese language) and the usual crust tradition of misprinted track list is here: Paradise lost is the second track of BtP and New reign is the ending song.

Etacarinae-Faith in Chaos 7"

They call their music Cosmic Apocalyptic Crust and they recorded one of the best crust records of 2008: Etacarinae's members are from Barcelona and Lisboa and were also in Disface and Leadershit, In These Dark Times is an amazing record that stands equal to Comalive or Agrimonia's lp, (these came out about the same time). Τhey formed in 2002 and the same year they recorded a seven track demo (posted here), these tracks appear in this 2007 ep, in 2008 they released In These Dark Times and the cd version includes these tracks too plus the songs from the upcoming split with Asedio
Faith in Chaos (a.k.a. st ep) delivers heavy, gloomy and emotional crust with screamed vocals in an amazing blending of Bastard's japanese hardcore and the metal edge and melodies of Tragedy and Wolfbrigade. It was released by a cooperation of labels (Deskontento Rec.s, Mundo En Kaos Rec.s, Kontroversy Rec.s, Humildad y Honestidad Rec.s), comes in gatefold cover with lyrics. Tracks are connected each other (a way to zip 14:30 of crust on vinyl's surface) so you got each side as one mp3
